We’re now less than a month away from the exclusive theatrical release of Screamboat, which shrinks David Howard Thornton (Art the Clown in the Terrifier movies) down to the size of a mouse to play a twisted version of public domain icon Steamboat Willie.

Screamboat will be released only in theaters on April 2, 2025 from Iconic Events Releasing. A digital and home video release will follow at a later date from DeskPop Entertainment.

“I’ve been to two of the screenings so far, and the audience reactions have been fantastic. Exclusive: Signature Entertainment has acquired UK & Irish rights to horror-comedy Screamboat from DeskPop Entertainment.

The film stars David Howard Thornton, Art the Clown in the Terrifier franchise, as a murderous Steamboat Willie. The synopsis reads: “A late-night boat ride in New York City becomes a struggle for survival when a seemingly harmless mouse transforms into a dangerous monster.”

Also starring are Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf), Kailey Hyman (Terrifier 2), Jesse Posey (Selena: The Series), Jesse Kove (D-Day: Battle of Omaha Beach) and Brian Quinn (Impractical Jokers).

After the success of ‘Terrifier 3,’ David Howard Thornton is taking on the role of The Joker in ‘Jokers Wild,’ a new horror short from Busted Knuckle Productions.

In the film, The Joker has captured Robin, and it’s up to Batman to try to save him before it’s too late. The short stars Thornton as The Joker, with Joel Leblanc as Robin and Hunter G. Williams as Batman. Written and directed by Aaron W. Bennett, the film also features makeup by Tatjana Bluchel, who worked with Thornton on ‘The Mean One.’

David Howard Thornton has portrayed The Joker before in the ‘Nightwing: Escalation’ web series and has expressed a strong love for the character.

He recently shared his desire to play The Joker in a DC Studios film, hoping someone like James Gunn would give him the chance to bring his unique take on the villain to the big screen.

After the massive success of Terrifier 3, David Howard Thornton is tackling another twisted clown with Jokers Wild, a new horror short from Busted Knuckle Productions. We’ve got a handful of images featuring Thornton as the iconic DC villain, which you can check out above! The synopsis for Jokers Wild reads: “The Joker has finally captured Robin.
