As of July 2015, this was the lowest rated movie on IMDB, overtaking Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas (2014). It was pushed down to the #2 spot in September.
The shark image used in some poster art of this movie is a free stock image. It has been shared in many wallpaper websites since late 90's, and was also used for the DVD cover of Tintorera: Killer Shark (1977).
The temperature during filming was so hot that actors and actresses would be dry within minutes of being in the water.
