5 Sexiest X-Men Characters Ever - Main Image
It’s safe to say that the X-Men universe is filled with alluring characters. Over the years, we’ve been introduced to mutants that have made our jaw drop. While fans have debated the title of the hottest X-Men Character for years, we decided to finally settle the debate (or spark it up even more).
In this list, we will rank the X-Men characters based on their attractive qualities—the flair, charisma, and dynamic personalities behind these characters that make them so desirable. So, let’s get to it.
Wolverine (Hugh Jackman)
With a skeleton laced with adamantium, Wolverine has always been a fan favourite. But Hugh Jackman’s dedication to the role made this mutant a charmer. Much like Robert Downey Jr.’s Ironman, the role of Wolverine fits Hugh Jackman like a glove.

Before the sudden exit of X-Men ’97 creator Beau DeMayo, he talked about his passion for the X-Men franchise and its significance to him, not only as a fan but as a person. The continuation of the famed 1992 show X-Men: The Animated Series, which DeMayo helped bring to life, has finally debuted.

One of Marvel's most highly-anticipated new shows, Runaways, finally had the first trailer emerge at Nycc 2017! Check it out below! Plus, first thoughts on episode 1!
Since it was first released, Runaways has been one of my favorite comic series in the modern era. The way they consistently flipped the script with the audience with the kids thinking their parents are super heroes but are really villains and the way they came to grips with their powers was just fun to read. So, when Hulu first announced they would be creating a Runaways series with Marvel, not only was I excited but I thought it would make for a great series.
The first trailer they showed, during Nycc 2017, pretty much confirms those initial feelings.
This trailer is pretty much the comic series on the screen. Sure, there are a couple of minor changes, but it's nothing that will derail the show.

Fox has released the first six minutes of the Bryan Singer-directed pilot episode of the upcoming X-Men-inspired series, The Gifted. The clip doesn't feature the main cast of characters that make up the Strucker family. However, the clip certainly sets the tone of the series and offers us a look at some familiar mutants, who are having a rough night as they are being hunted down by the police. The clip centers on the characters Blink (Jamie Chung), Polaris (Emma Dumont), Thunderbird (Blair Redford), and a new mutant created for the series named Eclipse (Sean Teale).
Action-adventure family drama The Gifted, from Marvel, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

There aren’t many shows that even have the theoretical possibility of getting me more interested in them than The Gifted. The Marvel Universe on television has mostly worked out for me, but more importantly, I want to know what Matt Nix does with the show, and I’m a pretty big fan of Amy Acker.
I’m not exactly sure how you keep an “on the run” story going forever, but it should be worth finding out where this can twist around its own gimmick. Previous looks at the show have already set things up pretty well, and if nothing else it looks like this is going to be a fun exploration of characters that goes a bit darker, much like the Netflix series we’ve seen so far.
You now have the chance to get a serious introduction with the first six minutes of the show so definitely check that out above,...

With everything Marvel has on television, and it's a lot -- 14 series across 5 networks -- plus growing concerns about viewer fatigue, the big question is why the Inhumans (and why now)? Early reviews of Marvel's Inhumans have been less than kind, suggesting that the series may not survive its first season (ABC is slotting it on Fridays, typically a death slot). Marvel is as opaque as any other entertainment organization, so Cbr went looking for answers but they came away with more questions, unfortunately.
As we like to say at Lrm, there are only a finite number of fans out there (and a limited number of hours per week). Considering that most of the well-known A and B-list heroes were already committed to film and TV franchises, the odds were high that the Inhumans could break through and capture a viable audience. Launching Inhumans now, given competition from other Marvel...

Fox brought their new Marvel series The Gifted to Comic-Con today and showed off an extended trailer to the fans and they flipped over it! You can now watch that new trailer for yourselves below. It gives us our best look yet at the show and there's lots of great new footage highlighting several of the characters that will be in it. This X-Men-themed series looks pretty freakin' great and I'm excited to get to know these characters better and see what thrilling adventures await them.
One thing that was announced at that the Comic-Con panel was that this series would not crossover with the cinematic universe or the TV series Legion.

The spot offers us new never-before-seen footage from the series, the pilot episode of which was directed by Bryan Singer. Earlier this year, FX and Marvel worked together to bring the incredibly unique series Legion to FX. The series followed David Haller, who may very well be the most powerful mutant known to man. The show isn’t your typical superhero show, and if you were looking for something less abstract and artsy, you may have been disappointed. However, if you are one of those people, then this new mutant-centric series from Fox, The Gifted, may be more up your alley.

Though it’s never quite hit the dizzying box office heights of, say, Captain America: Civil War or even Suicide Squad, Fox’s X-Men universe is currently bursting at the seams with content, and it wasn’t too long ago that the studio nailed down release plans for three of its biggest 2018 tentpoles: Deadpool 2, New Mutants and X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
Those ambitious plans are about to spill over on to the small screen, too, via The Gifted, Bryan Singer and Matt Nix’s star-studded family drama that thrusts two ordinary parents (Amy Acker, Stephen Moyer) into extraordinary circumstances upon discovering that their two teenagers – namely Lauren (Gotham’s Natalie Alyn Lind) and Andy (Percy Hynes White) – boast mutant abilities.
What follows is a desperate fight for survival, as Acker and Moyer’s parents are forced to go on the run from shady government forces in order to protect their nearest and dearest.

Fox dropped the full trailer for their upcoming new X-Men-inspired series The Gifted and this series seriously looks like it's gonna be awesome! I thought the first trailer was pretty good, but this one completely sold me on watching the series! It's filled with tons of awesome action-packed new footage and we get to see some of the mutant powers in action. We also get a better look at the characters and story. As well as what sets the events of that story in motion. I'm excited about this show and I can't wait to see how it all plays out!

Fox is aggressively growing their X-Men cinematic universe, and after the massive success of films like Logan and Deadpool, it’s easy to see why. With projects such as New Mutants, X-Force, X-Men: Dark Phoenix and Deadpool 2 all cramming up the pipeline, there’s certainly a lot to look forward to for fans of the franchise, but it’s not only on the big screen that the mutants are popping up.
The studio’s been making the push into television as well, and after premiering the excellent Legion earlier this year, they’re now looking to bring us yet another X-Men show in the form of The Gifted. How exactly it’ll tie into the films is still unclear, but there is expected to be some kind of connection and from what we understand, the series centres on a suburban couple (Amy Acker, Stephen Moyer) who discover that their children possess mutant abilities.

The kids are more than alright on Fox’s upcoming series “The Gifted.”
As one might expect from the title, the series revolves around two siblings (Natalie Alyn Lind, Percy Hynes) who have a little something else going on for them. Except instead of a rather advanced Iq, their giftedness means they have advanced DNA that gives them mutant powers. When their average suburban parents (Stephen Moyer and Amy Acker, trying to pretend they’re in any way “average”) realize their kids’ powers, the whole family goes on the run to evade a hostile government that isn’t so keen superhuman gifts. An underground network of mutants take in the family, and together they fight for survival.

The Merc With a Mouth is coming to television.
Fxx and Marvel Television are officially teaming up to develop an adult-oriented Deadpool animated series, with Atlanta‘s Donald Glover on board as showrunner, along with frequent collaborator and younger brother, Stephen Glover. The as-yet-untitled TV show has landed a ten-episode season order, and it’ll hit the airwaves in 2018.
Without any casting details to report, it’s still early, early days on Fxx’s Deadpool animated series, but if nothing else, today’s exciting announcement proves that Marvel’s foul-mouthed anti-hero is very much in vogue. It’s hard to tell at this point which medium has more comic book adaptations: film or TV. Either way, we can at least enjoy the fact that the filmmakers are doing a pretty solid job of giving each franchise its own unique flavor, so as not to wear out the genre prematurely. For example, take a look at Marvel shows like Legion and Daredevil. They are two completely different entities with completely different tones, styles, and target audiences. Just as not every single comic book is made to appeal to the same audience as another book, these shows are being carefully catered to their respective audiences.
Yet another series in the long list of shows comes in the form of the Fox series The Gifted. The series is notable for following mutants — you know, in the vein of the X-Men and all that — but it’s also notable for...

The Gifted, Marvel and Fox’s upcoming X-Men family drama, has landed a full series order and to celebrate, both studios have unveiled the electrifying first teaser.
Hatched by screenwriter Matt Nix and X-Men mainstay Bryan Singer (Days of Future Past, Apocalypse), The Gifted was undoubtedly viewed as one of the more high-profile pilots going into the new season, so it’s small wonder why Fox has wasted no time in ordering the ambitious pitch to series.

Production is now officially underway on Fox’s new family drama series, which will be set in the X-Men universe. A couple of weeks ago, the first image of the cast gathered together for a reading made its way online, accompanied by a caption that suggested the show would be titled Gifted. Today, however, we have a new behind-the-scenes photo which confirms it’ll actually be called The Gifted. Not a huge difference, obviously, but it does somewhat alter the connotation of the moniker.
The pic was shared by long-time X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner, and gives us a glimpse of pilot director Bryan Singer behind the camera, as the show’s female lead, former Angel alum Amy Acker, performs a scene. Beetz, a German-born actress best known for her recent role on Atlanta, won the role of Domino over nearly a half dozen other actresses. Reportedly also in the running were such high-profile names as Mary Elizabeth Winstead (10 Cloverfield Lane), Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex), and Sienna Miller (American Sniper).
The casting of Domino is significant because the character is the partner of Cable, a mutant who will likely play a key role in the Deadpool sequel as well as the upcoming X-Force movie. The role of Cable has not yet been cast.

The Untitled X-Men series set up at Fox is rounding out its cast. The Matt Nix-created series cast Stephen Moyer earlier this week, and now THR reports that Amy Acker, Emma Dumont, and Percy Hynes White have signed on to the show.
Of course, fans of Joss Whedon will be familiar with Acker, who had significant roles in Angel and Dollhouse and brought down the house as Beatrice in his Much Ado About Nothing. She also spent several seasons on Person of Interest. Acker will play Kate Stewart, “a woman who is struggling with her separation from her husband, Reed (the aforementioned Moyer), and her increasingly challenging teenage children. When her family situation takes a dark turn, she finds that she's stronger than she thinks.”
I’m sure you all remember Dumont as a ballerina/roller derby girl on Bunheads, because GeekTyrant readers were definitely among the ten people who watched that show.

Iwan Rheon was announced to play Black Bolts's brother, Maximus the Mad, in the TV series The Inhumans, and what a great choice if you are looking for a psychotic killer. You know him best as Ramsay Bolton/Snow in Game of Thrones, the castration expert and torturer of Theon Greyjoy.
Oh yes, this makes me happy. Maximus is my favorite Inhuman, and one could consider him with Batman level intellect combined with some form of mind control. Let us take note, he is not necessarily evil. But he does believe that the Inhumans are the next level of species, and should rule the planet with disregard to any human life. He kind of reminds me of oldschool Magneto.
For awhile now, we have been dealing with the Inhumans in the show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but the actual royal family has not yet been referenced, presumably because they were saving them for their own show.

One of the most eagerly anticipated new TV shows to debut in 2017 is Legion, the new show from Fox and Marvel, which debuts this month. And in an exclusive interview, we sat down with one of the stars of the show Rachel Keller to discuss the show and how it fits into the X-Men Universe…

So much for Bryan Singer, director of four of the X-Men films in the franchise, which include 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, taking a break from further future X-Men duties. He’s just signed up to take the driving seat for the pilot in Fox’s TV series which is as yet untitled.
After finishing up with last summer’s X-Men: Apocalypse Singer stated: “Right now, once this one is done, I’d like to do something really different.” and he couldn’t have chosen a project any more different with a movie about Queen frontman Freddie Mercury so aptly entitled Bohemian Rhapsody which has Mr Robot’s own Rami Malek in the lead as the legendary Mercury. Singer, who has also directed an updated 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, which is based on the Jules Verne novel, currently in pre-production, is in no way a newcomer to the TV arena.

"X-Men" feature film director Bryan Singer will direct the new "X-Men" live-action TV series pilot for the Fox network and Marvel Television as a 'mutant'-themed 'family' drama:
Writer is Matt Nix ("Burn Notice") with Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory producing.
"...two ordinary parents discover their children possess mutant powers.
"Forced to go on the run from a hostile government...
"...the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive..."

Yesterday, we heard that Fox had officially ordered a new X-Men pilot from Burn Notice creator Matt Nix. We knew that X-Men movie maven Lauren Shuler Donner was executive producing alongside notable names like Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb, and Bryan Singer, but Deadline reports that Singer — who has directed four live-action X-Men films over the course of his career — is now on board to direct this new pilot as well.
Again, this new untitled show is separate from Legion, the upcoming FX series from Fargo creator Noah Hawley. That one focuses on an origin story for Professor Xavier's son, David (played by Dan Stevens), while this show will follow "two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive."

We have learned that veteran X-Men director and producer Bryan Singer has been given the reins to direct Fox's X-Men TV series pilot, created by the talented mind of Matt Nix.
Singer is no amateur to this franchise as he has directed; X-Men: Apocalypse, X-Men: Days of Future Past (my favorite), X-Men 2, and the original X-Men. Let us also not forget that he directed one of the greatest cult movies of all time, The Usual Suspects, and he directed Superman Returns which both another writer and myself here actually liked quite a bit. The Fox X-Men TV series will be Singer's most recent venture after his TV shows Battle Creek and the Munster's reboot entitled Mockingbird Lane.
We also need to realize that this show is created by the great Matt Nix, who taught us after creating Burn Notice that Bruce Campbell is more than just Ash from The Evil Dead,...

The X-Men are headed to the small screen.
Fox confirmed on Tuesday that the network has ordered an X-Men-based drama pilot from Burn Notice creator Matt Nix.

Remember the comic book from the newest Logan trailer? We know who drew it now.
The recent trailer for Logan featured, as you probably know, comics whose identity was a bit of a mystery. Not least because they're great looking comic pages that signal some weird, weird timeline stuff for the upcoming movie.
Putting an end to the speculation as to who was behind said pages, Joe Quesada, the artist behind Batman: Sword Of Azrael and X-Factor #87 and also the Chief Creative Officer at Marvel posted on his Tumblr that he penciled the header pic, as well as others that will be used in the film. Dan Panosian then went over his linework to give it a '90s ink and coloring style'.
These pages look outstanding, and even in early stages they look very different from Quesada's other work. Quesada's style is distinctive, exaggerate,d and muscular.

Earlier this month we learned there was a new X-Men series coming and that it would take place in the X-Men cinematic universe. Well, Fox has officially ordered the pilot for the series from producer Bryan Singer, and they've hired Matt Nix (Burn Notice) to write and produce it.
According to Variety, the pilot "will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive."
This is the second X-Men TV project to be picked up by Fox. The first one is the upcoming series Legion, which looks fantastic! These series are a co-production between Marvel TV and FX Productions.
It's pretty cool that Fox is finally venturing into the TV world with the X-Men franchise and I'm excited to see how this next project comes together.

Fox has handed out its first drama pilot order of the season to the mysterious X-Men TV series from Burn Notice creator Matt Nix we heard about recently. The show, which will be co-produced by Marvel Television, will focus on a human couple and their mutant children going on the run and hooking up with "an underground network of mutants." Though no new information was provided, Nix has previously confirmed that the still untitled show will be set in the "same general universe" as 20th Century Fox's X-Men movies, and will feature appearances from a few well-known characters. Who they'll be remains under wraps of course, but there has been some whispers of The Sentinels being involved, and that underground mutant group sound a lot like The Morlocks to us. While it didn’t matter so much when the first X-Men movie was released, fans have really rallied against the utilitarian black leather costumes worn by the heroes in Bryan Singer’s early films. That’s been reflected in the team getting some proper superhero costumes at the end of both X-Men: Apocalypse and Deadpool, but what about Logan?
With a very different setting from previous movies set in this world, it’s clear the threequel won’t be your normal superhero caper, but one of the trailer’s most intriguing moments came when Wolverine could be seen reading an X-Men comic book featuring himself and the likes of Cyclops and Rogue wearing colourful costumes. Fans are now understandably excited about the prospect of seeing Logan in his classic yellow and blue, and artist Joe Quesada has today released the page seen in the trailer along with some interesting insight...

One of the coolest moments in the final trailer for Logan came when Wolverine could be seen leafing through one of X-23’s X-Men comic books. It was here that we finally got to see the hero wearing a version of his classic yellow and blue costume, and while he was quick to dismiss the stories as fiction, fans are now wondering about the chances of seeing the costume in live-action.
Time will tell if that happens, but some details have now surfaced about who was responsible for creating the comics seen in the trailer. It turns out that Fox was unable to use an actual X-Men comic book due to rights issues, so Hugh Jackman asked artist Joe Quesada (who was responsible for some artwork commissioned by President Obama not too long ago) to come up with a totally original one.

Yes, technically, FX’s new drama Legion is a “comic-book show.” But it doesn’t feel like — or look like — any of the superhero shows currently on TV.
The Legion series premiere (airing Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 10/9c) is an incredibly colorful, highly stylized drama with heavy psychological undertones… and no capes or tights in sight. At the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Thursday, the cast and producers laid out why they wanted their show to stand apart from the current superhero trend.

If the promotional material is anything to go by, FX's Legion is set to be a vastly different take on the live-action X-Men universe. Comic book fans know that the connection the the broader world of the X-Men lies in David Haller (Dan Stevens), the son of Charles Xavier. However, the show hasn't exactly gone out of its way to acknowledge that connection, something that showrunner Noah Hawley seems to be doing purposefully. In an interview with EW, Hawley revealed that he had the head of Marvel TV, Jeph Loeb, offer him some help during production, despite the show not fitting in with the other programs that are tied to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "Obviously, this show is a dramatic departure from [Marvel's] other shows. They’re controlling a roll-out of a series of characters on Netflix that are interconnected. So there’s a game-plan there for all of those pieces.

The new, as-yet untitled show follows two ordinary parents who must go on the run after they discover their children have mutant powers. “Without getting into specifics, which I’ll get murdered for getting into, I would say that a fan of the movies but also the comic books would not be disoriented at all,” he said. “Where this fits in the mythology, if you look at the movies, which started around 2003 to now, they don’t all line up perfectly. We were all excited after 11 years of waiting for Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool to finale be realized properly on the big screen. And it is safe to say we were not let down by the film. Now the much anticipated sequel is quietly making its way toward production we still don't know when exactly it will hit theaters, or who will be playing Deadpools' time traveling companion Cable. But a source close to the production has let Collider.Com in on an exclusive. And that is that we have a short list of actresses for the role of Domino.
Much like Deadpool, Domino is a mutant mercenary who is an expert marks-woman with enhanced reflexes, and sub conscience telekinetic probability manipulation.
