Sekhar Kammula had a lot of difficulty in convincing the distributors while marketing the film. He approached management of Sangeet theater in Hyderabad who agreed to rent the theater at Rs 10,000 per show but were not interested in buying the film. So he booked the theatre for one show a day for 30 days. The film ran well for 4 weeks.
