The following contains light spoilers for The Sandman comic series
Destiny, Delirium, and the Prodigal will join season 2 of The Sandman, introducing new intense dynamics. Expect season 2 to adapt storylines like "Season of Mists" focusing on Dream's conflict with his siblings. Alongside the new Endless, the four original Endless - Dream, Death, Despair, and Desire - will return for season 2.
The Sandman season 2's new teaser confirms the involvement of the other three Endless who weren't featured in the first season of the Netflix adaptation. Based on the Neil Gaiman comic of the same name, The Sandman focuses on Dream of the Endless. The embodiment of dreaming, the immortal otherwise known as Morpheus spent season 1 dealing with the fallout of his capture by humans and the impact his absence had on the world. The ending of The Sandman's first season left plenty of other stories to be explored in future episodes.

After spending decades in development hell, a live-action adaptation of the Neil Gaiman comic book series The Sandman actually made it into production and was released into the world as a Netflix series in August of 2022. (Read our review Here.) Season 2 of the show went into production last year, then had to be put on pause for a while due to the writers and actors strikes. Thankfully, The Sandman season 2 was able to resume production as soon as those strikes came to an end – and today, a press release reveals that the cast of the new batch of episodes includes Esmé Creed-Miles (Hanna) as Delirium, Adrian Lester (Hustle) as Destiny, and Barry Sloane (Pleasureland) as The Prodigal. Their characters can be seen in this promo clip:
The Endless have finally assembled: Introducing Adrian Lester as Destiny, Esmé Creed-Miles as Delirium and Barry Sloane as the Prodigal in the next season of The Sandman.

Renee Poche, a season five contestant on Love Is Blind, has filed a lawsuit against Netflix and Delirium TV.
Poche, a veterinarian from Texas, also claimed that she was hardly shown on screen.
Through her lawyers Bryan Freedman and Mark Geragos, Poche filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court after the production company, Delirium TV, initiated a private arbitration case against her for her allegedly violation their nondisclosure agreement. The company is seeking to nullify her contract.
Poche claims that her issues with the production began immediately upon her arrival on set. She alleges that the crew confiscated her phone, passport and driver’s license upon arrival and forced her to stay locked in a hotel room “like a prisoner.”
She was then thrust into an on-screen relationship with Carter Wall, a fellow cast member who Poche described as a “walking red flag” that she was “utterly terrified of.

“Delirium explores the limits to which the human mind can be stretched.”
Delirium (1979) will finally be on Blu-ray January 25th thanks to Severin Films. It can be pre-ordered Here. Here’s their trailer:
A fascinating snapshot of St. Louis circa 1978, Delirium is my favorite film ever shot here. The cars and hairstyles date the film nostalgically but it’s the many exteriors of St. Louis that make Delirium such a home-town joy now 43 years later. Cars speeding up and down Market and Kingshighway (the Arch prominently in the background), a shoot-out finale on Laclede’s Landing, scenes at the Stl Police HQ, The Post Dispatch building and familiar offices in Clayton, the film has a lot of exteriors which will make locals smile.. I’ve always been fascinated this sleazy R-rated, low-budget slasher film, which I saw at the I-44 Drive-in July 20th 1979, when it opened at 12 screens in St.

Sex and violence, beauty and madness, shoulder pads and pitchforks being stuck in eyeball-faced models. All signs point to Italy in the ‘80s, and Lamberto Bava’s Delirium (1987) fits the bill with murder, mystery, and bee-faced models. What, you think eyeballs get all the fun?
Delirium was released by Medusa Distribuzione in its homeland in April under its original title, Le Foto Di Gioia, and stars Serena Grandi (Antropophagus) as Gioia, the owner of a men’s magazine called Pussycat. When her models start turning up dead, she must figure out who is killing everyone around her, and if she’s the final target. A perfectly normal thriller for the time, yes?
Hold tight, pardner. First, this is a giallo, which means we’re going to need a few things: As many red herrings as possible (check); gratuitous nudity (double check); and a completely nonsensical resolution. Now, one could say...

Arrow Video have announced brand new 4K restorations of both Demons and its sequel Demons 2, presented in more vivid and terrifying ways than ever before, alongside a wealth of bonus features old and new, making this the ultimate experience in celluloid terror.
In the early 1980s, Dario Argento, the famed horror maestro responsible for such classics as Suspiria and Deep Red, branched out from directing into producing, shepherding the work of his fellow filmmakers to the screen – among them Lamberto Bava, son of the legendary Mario Bava. Together, they crafted two tales of terror that would become synonymous with Italian 80s horror, in which the veil between the real world and the silver screen is torn asunder.
In 1985’s Demons, a motley assortment of unwitting filmgoers accept invitations to a screening at the mysterious Metropol theatre. However, as the brutal slasher film unspools, the horror breaks free from the constraints of the screen,...

Ellie Goulding is a globally popular singer, who won two Brit Awards and has been nominated for Grammy and Golden Globe awards in the past. The road to stardom has not been easy for the singer, who admits not always having a huge amount of confidence.
"I think I wanted to be a singer when I was 14. I don't really remember much from then. I think I was always singing, always playing the guitar, writing music and imagining myself performing. But I didn't have huge amount of confidence so that was something I had to build and work on. It wasn't like I was born just to be a star. It takes a lot of work on yourself to eventually get used to that kind of attention and spotlight," Ellie told Ians in an interview.

In Ellie Goulding’s early years as a pop star, she quickly aligned herself with the Edm-pop movement of the moment. She made club-friendly, neon-bright dance-pop songs that became intoxicating thanks to the artful layering of her upper-register voice.
On her latest single, though, Goulding sings with a newfound rawness. “Flux,” a stripped-down piano ballad, has her reminiscing about the one that got away. “And I’m still with the idea of loving you,” she sings on the chorus, before later exploring the fantasies of their potential life as a...

Ellie Goulding takes a fashionable romp through Budapest in the video for her Diplo-produced single “Close to Me” featuring Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee.
The video finds Goulding and a cadre of Magritte-inspired dancers surrounding the singer and her high-fashion outfits throughout a series of scenic locations in the Hungarian city. Lee also appears to deliver his guest appearance from a leafy park.
Goulding and Diplo previously collaborated on “Powerful,” a track from Major Lazer’s 2015 LP, Peace Is the Mission. Goulding’s most recent album was 2015’s Delirium.

Elie Goulding celebrates reckless romance on “Close to Me,” her gleaming new single with Diplo and Rae Sremmurd rapper Swae Lee. “Even though we both know we’re liars and we start each other’s fires, we just know that we’ll be alright,” the pop singer croons over a chiming electric guitar and sleek programmed drums. “Even though we’re kicked out the party ’cause we both hate everybody/ We’re the ones they wanna be like.”

Primus bassist Les Claypool and multi-instrumentalist Sean Lennon have united for their second collaborative album as the Claypool Lennon Delirium. The self-produced South of Reality – out February 22nd, 2019 via Ato Records and available for pre-order now – follows their 2016 debut, Monolith of Phobos, and proggy 2017 covers Ep, Lime and Limpid Green.
The experimental psych-rock duo previewed the LP with the six-and-a-half-minute “Blood and Rockets,” a sprawling epic that finds Lennon and Claypool crooning and snarling, respectively, over spacey synths and chiming guitars. “How high does your rocket fly?” Lennon sings on the chorus,...

With each new release, the Halloween movies have continued to draw in audiences with the promise of another round of characters fighting to live through a horrific October night. But it comes as a shock to learn that an actress who played the part of one of Michael Myers’ fictional victims recently suffered through her own real-life traumatic experience.
Daisy McCracken, known for her portrayal of Donna Chang in 2002’s Halloween: Resurrection, was kidnapped from her home last May, along with fellow actor Joseph Capone. The two of them were brought by a pair of armed men to a new location and held captive with the demand that McCracken withdrew a sum of $10,000 from her bank. The kidnappers also stole the actress’s 2011 Lexus and subjected the two hostages to cruel, violent treatment.

Three suspects have been arrested on charges of kidnapping horror actress Daisy McCrackin and actor Joseph Capone and holding them for ransom for $10,000. The kidnapping occurred May 3, 2017 in South Los Angeles.
According to the indictment (via Variety), McCrackin, best known for her supporting role in “Halloween: Resurrection,” and Capone were kidnapped at her home by two men, Keith Stewart and Johntae Jones. A third person, Amber Neal, allegedly helped in holding McCrackin and Capone for ransom. The indictment says Stewart and Jones pistol-whipped Capone and dragged him into a car. McCrackin was then forced into the vehicle.
Prosecutors say McCrackin and Capone were brought to Jones’ home in Compton. Capone was stripped naked, forced into a bathtub, and not given food for a 30-hour period. The indictment also says that Capone was beaten and kicked after he tried to protect McCrackin against the suspects.

*there are some mild spoilers here. Director: Dennis Iliadis. Writer: Adam Alleca. Cast: Topher Grace, Genesis Rodriguez, Patricia Clarkson. Carl Jung was a depth psychologist from Kesswill, Switzerland. Mentored by Sigmund Freud, Jung would develop his own psychological concepts such as the collective unconscious, individuation, shadow work and many others. In Dennis Iliadis and Adam Alleca's Delirium, there are a number of psychological elements that emerge from the very troubled protagonist, Thomas (Topher Grace). Without his medications, all sorts of characters begin to appear on-screen, from his unconscious, like: his Shadow (as Alex), his Anima (as Lynn) and still further characters, late in the film. Delirium is an interesting picture for including so many examples of Jung's research and work. According to Jung, the integration of the shadow is "apprentice-work" and facing the Anima is "master-work" (Scott). However, the character Thomas begins in the middle (Anima) and...

You wouldn’t expect former sitcom star Topher Grace to be one of the faces of American cinema at the world’s most prestigious film festival, but such is the case at Cannes this year. The actor appears in the only two U.S. films competing for the Palme d’Or, Spike Lee’s “BlacKkKlansman” and David Robert Mitchell’s “Under the Silver Lake,” but coming to Cannes for the first time with two high profile movies is no accident on his part. As Grace told IndieWire’s Eric Kohn at Cannes during a conversation at the American Pavilion, working with auteurs like Lee and Mitchell has become his golden rule when signing on to projects.
“You see a film like ‘It Follows’ and you say to yourself, ‘I’ll do anything to work like an auteur like this,'” Grace said. “The same thing is true with Spike. For me,...

Heather Langenkamp is a remarkable woman. She is best known for playing Nancy Thompson, the lead in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). Her portrayal of a teenager being attacked in her dreams, then for real by a dead, severely burned, child murderer was nothing short of groundbreaking for that era. At a time when the vast majority of scream queens in horror films of that time period were either playing the helpless victim or the eye candy, Heather’s “Nancy” was a strong, no-nonsense fighter who wouldn’t roll over and die. She took on the plight of teenagers in America, helping to portray them as strong and self-reliant, and showing they need to be heard and understood.

Happy Halloween, readers!
It’s my favorite day of the year, so I couldn’t neglect it in this week’s list. Because All Hallows Eve is so fun, below are the top 10 best Halloween comedy episodes.
Sadly, dramas are not on this list (I never would’ve been able to cut it to 10 if there had been), but feel free to leave your picks in the comments —”Home” from Fox’s The X-Files, anyone?
For me, though, I’ll leave it to laughs. So put on your best TV-themed costume, grab that bowl of fun-sized candy and check out my choices!
10. ABC’s Boy Meets World, “And Then There Was Shawn” (Season 5, Episode 17)
Fun fact: This episode aired Feb. 27, 1998. Nevertheless, I consider it one of the best Halloween episodes because “And Then There Was Shawn” left quite an impression on me as a...

This guy (up on the right, not part of the poster)?
That is Graham King and he’s a producer. He produced stuff you liked like ‘The Departed,’ ‘The Town,’ and ‘Blood Diamond.’ Deadline says he and his business partner Tim Headington have signed a deal with Warner Bros to bring their production company Gk Films under the Warner banner.
Gk Films will be releasing Ben Affleck’s ‘Argo,’ which is blowing out of the Toronto International Film Festival with top-notch buzz.
Also migrating in this deal? The Jon Favreau-directed ‘Jersey Boys,’ based on the Broadway musical about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Graham King had started producing the movie as part of his old deal with Sony, but since the studio didn’t agree on a budget with King for the movie, Graham took his ball and went home.
Home now being Warner Brothers Pictures.

We've just gotten word that the documentary Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of ‘Friday the 13th’ began filming on April 24th in Los Angeles, New York, Connecticut and Vancouver.
Inspired by author Peter M. Bracke’s bestselling book, this comprehensive retrospective from Panic Productions and Hutson Ranch Media promises to be the definitive look at the making of the iconic horror franchise.
From its inception in 1980, the Friday the 13th film series has proven to be as unstoppable at the box office as its hockey-masked, machete-wielding villain Jason Voorhees, who has terrorized the fictional town of Crystal Lake for more than 30 years. Since then, Friday the 13th has become a true multimedia juggernaut, having spawned twelve feature films, a syndicated television drama, and an extensive line of merchandise and collectibles. The term “giallo” initially referred to cheap yellow paperbacks (printed American mysteries from writers such as Agatha Christie), that were distributed in post-fascist Italy. Applied to cinema, the genre is comprised of equal parts early pulp thrillers, mystery novels, with a willingness to gleefully explore onscreen sex and violence in provocative, innovative ways. Giallos are strikingly different from American crime films: they value style and plot over characterization, and tend towards unapologetic displays of violence, sexual content, and taboo exploration. The genre is known for stylistic excess, characterized by unnatural yet intriguing lighting techniques, convoluted plots, red herrings, extended murder sequences, excessive bloodletting, stylish camerawork and unusual musical arrangements. Amidst the ‘creative kill’ set-pieces are thematic undercurrents along with a whodunit element, usually some sort of twist ending. Here is my list of the best giallo films – made strictly by Italian directors, so don’t expect Black Swan, Amer or...
