I bought this adult film thanks to the cover and the fact I figured it would be a throwback kind of adult film that has a bit of plot in between the sex scenes and some nice costumes which is a huge turn on for me. The good news is the girl's outfits are cute and the sex okay, but there is no plot to speak of here and the sex is just okay, I mean at its peak it is okay. No, we do not have much of a story as it is just a girl reading to Alice played by the cute, but not overly so Sunny Lane. She dreams she goes down into the rabbit hole and we go from one okay, but in the end disappointing sex scene to the next. The outfits are great, once again that is one of the reasons I bought it, but we do not get much in the way of variety in the girls here as it is mainly Sunny Lane. There is a scene involving red queen that is just a couple of minutes if that and I was disappointed in that. I mean I like a chubby gal so it was nice to get that here, but they cut it short. If they did not want to have a chubby girl all they had to do was cast her as the typical porn star and not give us this poorly edited sex scene. Sunny Lane was cute, but she looks to old to be Alice, and the end was a scene that should of been the first scene in the film and that is the girl with Alice pleasuring herself. This film is what could of been, they needed to put more effort in the locations in this one as there is a 70's Alice in Wonderland adult film that is way better done than this. This one just seems thrown together with no real effort put into it. The costumes are pretty good which is why I gave this film a five, but I want more in my adult film if it is going to present itself as an adult film with more to offer than the typical all sex films of today. You need more plot than lets go over there and have sex. If you are going to do that you may as well just dress the girls up in costumes, film them have sex and have more variety of girls and simply skip trying to act like you are doing a take on a popular movie when all you are doing is trying to cash in on the latest craze.
Bill Osco & teammates created the classic XXX "Alice in Wonderland" film 35 years ago, memorably starring Kristine DeBell, and still quite popular. So why did untalented pornographers (check the directors' prior credits) have the temerity to crank out the crummy video ALICE recently? Obviously because Tim Burton made a big-budget film and the current wave of Adult porn mavens insist on satirizing everything for fun but mostly for profit.
I watched this stinker because casting Sunny Lane in the title role sounded like a winning idea. But the peaches & cream beauty is wasted in mechanical sex scenes, campily overdone costumes and a repellently ugly video, made with a goth sensibility. I don't admire Burton's goofy visuals, but this video is yucky. Of course, in the inverted value system of late, it was nominated for many awards by porn scribes. Go figure.
After suffering through an unarousing, idiotic two hours, I was struck by the fact that a lot more effort went into the packaging of the video than in shooting it. Pretentious and attempted-kinky (but failing even in that department), it's hardly the followup to the adventurous porn (see Rinse Dream, etc.) that once tried to break through the boundaries of this genre.
