Ghostquake may be better known to some viewers as Haunted High. It is a cheap horror movie produced by the US TV channel Syfy and revolves around the ghost of a sadistic school principal who comes back to haunt students. Oftentimes, Syfy chooses to apply censorship to its airings and those who are interested in seeing the uncensored version will have to grab the DVD/BD instead. With Ghostquake we get the opposite situation. Surprisingly, the TV version of the movie is more brutal than the home video releases. Unfortunately, the harmless version got distribution to other countries such as Germany, as well. The censorship has always to do with the numerous death scenes in the movie and makes use of alternate footage, digital alterations or simple zooming in order to avoid too graphic details. Although the uncensored version isn't a real slaughterfest either, it is definitely more fun to watch if you have time to kill.
