An Escape for Everyone

While I'm just a casual fan of the cosplay subculture, I really enjoyed this film. The subject, Jimothy Beckholt (who may remind you of a younger Bill Hader), is a cosplayer doing a character from a movie most of us are very familiar with. Either that, or this isn't a doc, and he's playing the role of a cosplayer who is playing a character. The truth is blurry (intentionally, I believe) and it makes this film all the more interesting, particularly as Jimothy shares unexpected commentary on his true aspirations. As for the film's production, the photography, sound and editing is all very well done and I look forward to seeing lots more from this filmmaker. - Movie Butter Reviews.
