CHASING THE LIGHT is a documentary following emerging photographer Liisa Roberts as she hops around Hawaii on commercial, fashion, conceptual, military, abstract, political and personal photo shoots in Hawaii.

If youÂ’ve ever thought about pursuing a passion instead of a career, then you will appreciate Liisa RobertsÂ’ story. Be it in sales, technology or real estate finance, sheÂ’s chased careers in Miami, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. It wasnÂ’t until Liisa became a mother that she decided to stop chasing dollars and start taking photographs. Having a child was enough to make her go for it.

Juggling her responsibilities as a mother, military spouse and professional photographer, she tries to keep up with the images generated by her ADD-HD thought processes while negotiating the logistical challenges and emotional roller coasters that come with a deployed husband and career advancement. Beyond that is the ever-present torment of someone plagued with a vision and a need to capture the images in her mind.
