Is a journey to dark and bright places
Although it can be very uncomfortable sometimes, and even ennerve you, the series drive you to an overwhelming emotional journey. Very few shows had this impact on me.
The casting and acting are superb, all three actors that portray Enric and Irene in the different ages do an outstanding and are capable to transmit the same energy. The three Mothers are also amazing and give you the creeps at the same time as you feel their atraction and try to understand them.
I want to congratulate the whole team: music photography costumes, everything worked in harmony to create the perfect enrionment to get you deep into the story.

La me
*"La Mesías" (2023) is a captivating psychological drama that weaves together themes of faith, trauma, and obsession. The story follows Enric, whose life is upended by a viral video featuring a Christian pop band of five sisters. As the plot unfolds, the series delves into Enric's haunting past and the eerie influence of the band, creating a tense atmosphere. The show excels in its slow-burn storytelling, with powerful performances and an unsettling exploration of the impact of religious fervor on personal identity. It's a gripping and thought-provoking series that keeps viewers on edge. Good movie.
Very long and very boring
Long, very long and very boring. It has neither head nor tail, full of clichés and juggernauts flashbacks that makes you get tired tryng following the thread. The actors are neither credible nor do they believe ther acting. As bad and ugly as the group that this serial is supposed to be inspired by, the Flos Mariae, a group of Kischt and "Feista" (ugliness) Romanesque Catholic apostolic singers.
The script and story is a poorly told cocktail of sects, aliens, sexual abuse, drug addiction, pedophiles... .
More than 7 hours that could have been filmed in one hour. A waste of time and until now I have only read one review in the press saying that the serie is very bad, other reviews already predict a lot of awards... anyway...

Wanted to like it, but couldn't even finish it.
I had very big expectations for this series as I love what these two geniuses create, unfortunately it wasn't the case this time. Photography and cinematography are on point, sound as usual is impeccable, where it lacks substance is the story itself. Boring, full of clichés, very slow development of the main story at times overwhelming stretch of useless scenes that don't contribute at all with the narrative.
Acting is stellar for most characters with a few exceptions. Lola Dueñas steals the show, unfortunately the same can't be said for some others like Ana Rujas, who replayed the same character of her past show "Cardo".
This time the Javis missed big time creating a piece too ambitious for commercial television.
