How do you make a friendship stories . I will tell you the recipe
1. First think of heterogenous group and add all them in one school. If you can add one poor chap and may be one gay character that will be more inclusive
2. Now cut after 15 or 20 years and give them unique set of problems
3. Make them easy to gather together. Plan one instigating moment ( here is lavanyas wedding )
Voila your friendship story is ready. This story is full of props but the problem is nothing is new . You just know , you can predict and when the final moment comes you think this is not rightly told. Acting skill wise is good and there are few humorous moments but it's average.

Good for a Hindi series. Engaging, entertaining and watchable. Even though some story line is slightly altered at a higher lever compared to "Friends from College", this is still good. Good cast and screenplay.
All the cast are looking good and have acted well! Portrays the latest gen lifestyle.
Tamanna was looking pretty and has acted well.
I loved the original English series in Netflix, each of these are good in its own way.
Enough one ended with 2 seasons, eager to see how many seasons the Hindi one is gonna run!
If you have not watched the English series, ppl might find this new and entertaining.

I was just passing my time and I saw this that web series on Amazon prime today.
Started slowly but quickly I was involved with the story and character line.
Everything is good acting story direction but this story has been highlighted for South Bombay people, this web series will be entertain by a certain type and catogory of viewers.
Spoiler:- episode 6 or 7 I guess you will connect with tamanna's character where she is in a guilt a deep guilt yet trying to be normal everywhere but she knows that she has already damaged herself and cannot forgive herself sometimes out of sudden she gets broken and feel broken.. This situation is very confusing and full of dilaema I must say because we must have felt and been in these kind of feeling once in a while in our life.
Watch it you will get to know what I was talking about.

Binge watching the whole series (6 epi) and interesting it didn't look like India but I suppose, young and upper middle class, rich Indians live and act like this...I wouldn't know as I grew up in US but seriously, I doubt it btw, nothing was original here, everything was plagiarized from US/ Hollywood. Nevertheless, I like the developed & progressive version of India via this serial oh and the traditional dresses, jewelry and the sets were beautiful. Acting,Background Score, Costume Design,Screenplay, Cinematography, Script & Story ...all are so good with attention given to every small detail aspect of every scene. No useless fillers . Acting of every artist is outstanding even if it's the smallest role. OTT needs more such content . The first episode took a little time to move but by the end got a hang of it . Perfect binge watch. So many scenes highlights the bond between friends from school to Adulthood. Tamannaah aced the show & empowered all her co-stars with her precise modest skill set of acting. This series shall certainly create an impact in the saturated Indian OTT space .

Anwar Says: A refreshing experience which would recall your memories of childhood friends and you would feel like calling them for a party. Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films has always tried to present something new to the celluloid, but here the plot is old with infectious friendship and relatable online chemistry among seven childhood friends.
Definitely not a family watch since the screenplay has been woven in the upscale South Mumbai culture. You would find adultery, gay relation , infidelity, use of slangs and child abuse in the continuous stories of the seven friends. Every important happening in their life is correlated to their school days at frequent intervals and this experiment works. Characters impressed most are Tamanna Bhatia, Anya Singh and Hussain Dalal.
Music of Sachin-Jigar is superb particularly the opening track. Watch it for friendship, queer romance and neo- urban mentality particularly in metros.
I would give 3 out of 5 rating.

Initial review after a binge watch session:
Sure, don't watch it if you've got something better to do. But if you've got time, this show won't hesitate to pull you into its world. You can definitely find better things to watch, but at the same time, I'd say it's an experience and kind of eye-opening if you think a lot about life, friend circles, and dynamics.
There were moments that felt kinda basic, yet they were portrayed smoothly. And there were moments I really enjoyed.
If you're a true OTT watcher, I'd say give it a try. It might just amaze you. The thing is basic, but the immersive aspect is one of the best things about this show. It sure is a feel-good one. In moments when you don't want to be all technical, the "feel-good" vibe this show offers definitely kicks in.
Also, emphasis on the actors' acting. Much respect for not making it cringe most of the time.

It has rich production values, actors also good but why wrong propaganda always. Why girls can't able to love the right guys but fall in love with the toxic guys always. Why seeing the culture in a wrong way always. There are good things also there in our culture why can't we accept it?.alcohol, drugs, affairs are so casual and sex is everything in life. I really hate lavanya character. She didn't even accept to keep veg food for her wedding but if her boyfriend get the ice cream flavor he likes then she makes issue out of it, hypocrisy to the core. You don't even adjust for small things in life then how can you expect others do compromise in big things. Stay away from that kind of girls guys no matter how beautiful and well settled they can't be the right partners.

Good strory, actimg was mind-blowing
The story was so catchy you will get connected to it from the 1st episode itself. Yes but sometimes you will find it quite non-sense like constant party, sudden sex scenes & the worst is the songs, litraly they are a headache, some dialogues get voiceless due to this back-groumd
Somethings get unsotted & will make you confused, the the show does not answer your situationally rised questions there you have to use your own logic to find it
However a good show to watch with your close friends/buddies/besty/school friends.
A MUST WATCH Web-Series from my point of view.

The series is about 7 childhood friends who continue their bonding after schooling also
The content is about how friends from school times continue their touch in their present life..the making is very glamorous and colourful..very classy costumes and aesthetics have shown..the casting is in big actors like Tamanna and other ott leads..the makers have balanced here by showing poor ,middle class ,and rich friends in same group and how their life goes hand in hand with each other..last 2 episodes were very gripping and kept a good space for another season..the pace of series is good and doesn't bore you provide of you like such content..good songs were a cherry on top
Every character has been played very accurately by the actors where they gave good effect of love ,adjustment's ,emotions, and bondings
The negatives are that they shown too much of sexual activities where every frame is Co related with sex..they stretched too much on gay relations..fealty dialogues.. they could have kept all these elements in limits and could had shown some better twists as first 6 episodes had nothing great to offer..
Not a family watch.

Jee Karda is a family story, entertainer series with a mix of emotions - love, hate, friendship, bond, family feelings, marriage, heartbreak and all different type of emotions. Loved watching the series and also performnaces of all the actors on screen. I loved specifically Tamanna and Ashim Gulati's acting. Also Husain Dalal. I had a nice time watching the series. The child actors in this seriess also did a good job. This series teaches us to live a happy life, live life to the fullest, no matter what the circumstances. This series will make you laugh, cry (little bit) but make you feel for the actors. There is some kind of connect you feel with certain characters at certain situations in the story. Certain situations are relatable. I had a fun expereince watching thiss series. Nice stoy, beautiful cinematopgraphy. Beautifully presented. Also, loved the music and all the songs of the series. Recommend you to watch this seriess. Loved the title track of Jee Karda. I rate this series Season 1 (10 stars on 10). Modern way presented. Little older generation might feel this series is a bit forward. No matter, younger poopulation will more engage with this content. I feel this series was made keeping todays audidence in mind. You will expereince positve vibes while watching this series. This series lifts your mood.

Why are web series these days so templated?
1. Gay/lesbian character mandatory 2. Portraying marriages being stressful 3. To modernize traditions put a cigarette in Indian bride's hand 4. Every episode to have at minimum 50 profane words 5. Vegetarians to be made fun of 6. Alcohol, smoking and if possible drugs 7. Sex 8. One ideal character who in normal world is looked up at but in these series they will be made fun of as dumb.
9. Only 10% story
There has been so much expectation that Tamannah is working in OTT series but it's only a little polished over Balaji telefilms funky ones but nothing more than that.

I was killing some time on Amazon Prime when I came across this web series. It started off slowly, but the story and characters rapidly drew me in.
Spoiler:- episode 6 or 7 I guess you will connect with tamanna's character where she is in a guilt a deep guilt yet trying to be normal everywhere but she knows that she has already damaged herself and cannot forgive herself sometimes out of the blue she gets broken and feel broken.. Sayan Banerjee's Melroy is a likeable and well-developed character who stays with the reader. Suhail Nayyar, Hussain Dalal, Simone Singh, and Dolly Ahluwalia round out the ensemble cast brilliantly, adding to the show's energy and excitement. The series also benefits from strong performances from the rest of the creative team. There are no filler words. Every artist, no matter how tiny the role, does a fantastic job. More of this type of material is needed on OTT platforms. The first episode moved slowly, but I quickly got used to the format. The ideal show to watch in one sitting. There are numerous situations that show the friendships formed in school continuing into adulthood. Tamannaah nailed it and gave her co-stars confidence thanks to her nuanced, precise acting abilities. In the crowded Indian OTT market, this show is guaranteed to stand out.

As in the beginning webseries looks confusing, As it's the story about seven friends it should have been limited to 4 so we can understand the story clearly we have to watch it almost 3 times as which one is which charecter, above all its worth watching creative head have little misplaced the story hard to understand only thing I like about it is school life and when we became adults life is different its not the same what we taught when we are in school...relationship, family problem anyways nice concept for worth watching so beware you will be little confusing in the beginning.... Any ways enjoy the ride.

The exceptional turns by the skilled ensemble cast in "Jee Karda" are a major factor in the success of the production. Lavanya, a young woman coping with the stresses of marriage and coming into her own, is played brilliantly by Tamannaah Bhatia. Her performance is moving and genuine; it will stay with you. Anya Singh's charismatic portrayal of a young woman on the prowl for love elevates the narrative to a higher level. Aashim Gulati, who was nominated for an Oscar for his work in "Taj: Divided by Blood," plays a happy and exuberant pop musician entitled "AG the OG," while Malhar Thakar and Samvedna Suwalka, who play a struggling couple in a 2BHK apartment, evoke sympathy.

In a nutshell, Jee Karda is all about messed up people and their messed up stories.
Up until episode 5, its all fun and games, really loved everything. It had a great vibe to it. All the actors have done a great job.
However, I don't understand why the writer/director felt the need to mess up the stories in the last 3 episodes. I was really disappointed and angry with the turn of events in these last episodes.
So, if you ask me, "Stream It or Skip It?". I would say, "Skip It" unless you want to really be upset/angry with the ending. It leaves a bitter taste at the end and it will take sometime to get over the messy finish.

Amazon Prime's new show, Jee Karda - the eight-episode series is set in the city of dreams, Mumbai, where no one has time to dream, actually, and everyone is just chasing the clock. It tells the complex story of seven school friends who are in their 30s now and are facing challenges in their respective lives that they all were warned about years ago.
The series starts off with a group of seven children at a Christmas carnival at their school, where one of the pals suggests visiting the stall of a magician, who is also a face reader. The friends receive shocking predictions from the magician, who warns the group about things they should keep away from in future. The frame cuts, and now all of them are grown up and in their 30s at one of their friends, Sheetal's third wedding anniversary. Making the most of the moment, Rishab (Suhail Nayyar) proposes to his school girlfriend Lavanya (Tamannaah Bhatia).
The wedding preparations of Lavanya and Rishab kick-off and is the pole of the show around which the whole story revolves.
The other focus of the show is rock star AG the OG. Played by Aashim Gulati, Arjun is a Punjabi rockstar and enjoys a massive fan following. His only family is his friends and a single mother (Dolly Ahluwalia). While these three (Rishab, Lavanya, and AG) are the primary focus of the show, in between, the show also touches upon other characters, their fights, struggles, and hardships that they are going through in their respective lives.
Sheetal (Samvedna Suwalka), who is a NIFT gold medalist and a top-class designer, is fighting to get a space for herself and her husband in the 2BHK apartment, where she's living with her in-laws and husband Sameer (Malhar Thakar). The other is Preet (Anya Singh), a stunning counsellor who is struggling to find an ideal mate for herself. Next on the list is Melroy (Sayan Banerjee), an openly gay man who is fighting with society's homophobic thought process and a toxic relationship. And the last one is Shahid, the underprivileged kid and one of the friends who has always been ignored.
While everything seems perfect in their lives, somewhere inside everyone is going through their own complexities, guilt, and confusion and the show keeps unravelling the stories.
The show doesn't have much to offer, and neither does it give a very strong message on friendship. The show catches your interest right away, but it fails to maintain the flow. Co-written by Arunima Sharma, Abbas Dalal, and Hussain Dalal, the story runs back and forth to give the audience a grasp of the individuals' past lives and help them relate to their current scenarios. As you get involved in the show, you might not be able to understand what's happening and where is the story heading.
The performance of each character in the show is commendable. Tamannaah Bhati as Lavu is the highlight of the show, and she plays the character of the bossy girl with aplomb. Aashim Gulati, who has been in the headlines for his role as Salim in Taj: The Reign of Revenge, has again proven his acting talent as the hip-hop star. His character is entertaining and gripping, and wins every frame he's in. Other actors - Suhail Nayyar, Anya Singh, Samvedna Suwalka, Malhar Thakar, Sayan Banerjee, and Hussain Dalal - have done a decent job.
Sachin-Jigar's music brings modern and quirky charm to the show and sets the vibe of the series in the perfect way. All in all, Jee Karda is the type of show that ends on an annoying note with the question, "What's the motto behind this show?"
Final verdict - The urban life set-up, peppy music, and cast make the show look good, but the script takes away all the fun.
