Goofs

(at around 50 mins) After Katniss takes down the bomber with an incendiary arrow, in the next shot she still has the full complement of arrows in her quiver.

(at around 2 mins) The first time that Katniss sees Finnick sitting on the hospital bed, there are three items neatly placed together on the cart in front of him. In the next shot after Katniss speaks to him, the clear cylinder on the cart is laying on its side even though Finnick has not disturbed the cart.

(at around 35 mins) When she is shooting her first propo, Katniss already had her new bow. But in the next scene, Beetee is just giving it to her and she clearly has not seen it before.

(at around 51 mins) When filming Katniss' propo at District 8 following the attack on the hospital, both Castor and Pollux are behind her, then when she speaks again after a pause of only seconds ("Fire is catching!") Castor is on the far side of her, filming her message to Snow. Then, when the camera switches back in the other direction, Castor is back with Pollux and Cressida, as if he never moved.

(at around 5 mins) When Plutarch Heavensbee is first introduced he is sitting down, but in the next shot he is standing again ready to greet Katniss.

(at around 1h 20 mins) President Coin instructs her staff to reduce oxygen levels to 14% to conserve it. 19.5% is the lowest oxygen concentration for human survival.

(at around 1h 7 mins) If Pollux truly had had his tongue removed, he wouldn't have been able to whistle.

Katniss shoots a recurve bow throughout, but her arrows are nocked for a compound bow which would have an arrow rest (ie with the nock parallel with the cock vane, rather than being perpendicular) . Whilst shooting these arrows with a recurve bow would be possible, it would likely lead to the right hand hen vane fouling the riser and greatly reduced accuracy.

(at around 75 minutes) When District 13 Command is tracking the Captiol air raid on the radar, the hovercraft positions update before the arm sweeps over them. Their position should update once per arm revolution.

In the first The Hunger Games (2012), Prim's cat is black and white. In the later movies, it is orange. Correction: It was changed back to how the cat was described in the books because fans were annoyed by the initial change.

Gale claimed that District 12 was completely destroyed and no longer exists. Yet the "Victor's Village" houses (including where Katniss and her family moved to following her victory in the Hunger Games) are more or less unscathed and untouched.

The Victors' Village is on the edge of town deliberately to engender more class divide in the districts. Leaving it untouched seems like a rather obvious way for a party to engender more unease and psychological distress in its enemy.

(at around 29 mins) When Plutarch visits Effie to get her to join Katniss' propo team, Effie says "There isn't a soul in this dungeon who knows the first thing about Katniss." Aside from her mother and sister, only Gale knows more about Katniss. Effie has only seen her in relation to the Games. Not in "real" life.

A self-centered person making a self-aggrandizing comment is hardly a goof, it's a behavior authentic to a character's traits.

As they walk among the rubble of Katniss' district, you can see the fake concrete pieces shaking like the Styrofoam they are and not concrete that would not vibrate.

(At around 31 minutes) When the crowd reacts angrily to President Coin announcing that the captured Victors will be pardoned, a man raises his hand in a gesture, and his hand is translucent.

(at around 43 mins) On being dropped off to visit the hospital, the away team duck and cover from the downdraft of the departing aircraft which, being CGI, barely disturbs their hair.

Primroses cat in the first movie is black and white. When Katniss return's home to district 12 after the bombing she finds the cat and it's now white and orange l.

(at around 50 mins) At one point, Katniss and Gale are shooting down aircraft with explosive arrows. Gale is standing on Katniss' left. Later in the movie, the moment of Katniss shooting down a plane is shown in one of the 'propo's', and seems to be filmed from her right. However, Gale (who from this point of view should be just behind Katniss) is nowhere to be seen. It's also unclear how this scene made the propo because no one from the film crew (Castor and Pollux) was present at the moment Katniss and Gale shot down the planes, so there was no one to film it.

(at around 1h 20 mins) When the Capitol attack District 13 President Coin says "Reduce the Oxygen levels to 14%" - such a critically low level would cause the inhabitants to suffer from increased breathing rates, accelerated heartbeat, impaired thinking and coordination. It is unlikely that she would have ordered such a low level.

(at around 14 mins) When Katniss returns to her Victor's House and encounters Prim's cat, she picks the cat up and stuffs him in her bag with only a "meow" of protest. Anyone who's ever shared life with a cat knows that Katniss should have ended up losing flesh and blood trying to stuff a cat into a bag - and it should have been impossible to keep Buttercup in that bag. The cat would have been fighting her every inch of the way. And cats are formidably armed.

(at around 1h 35 mins) During the raid at the end, Katniss said she never asked to be in the Hunger Games. While it can be argued that she didn't ask to be in the Reaping (since that part was compulsory), one of the most iconic scenes in the series is her volunteering to be in the games so her sister doesn't have to be.

(at around 44 mins) Gale asks Commander Paylor in District 8 if she wasn't worried having all her wounded in one place. She replies that it's her only option, and Gale answers "That's not what I mean." He's talking about separating the walking wounded from the stretcher cases in different buildings, so no single attack can take out all of them. It's also a bad idea to put a huge "H" on the roof of the building you're using as a hospital, since it only invites the Capitol to attack your wounded and sick. There's no reason to believe President Snow would honor any rule against attacking a hospital. So you should be putting your wounded in as innocuous a place as possible.

(at around 28 mins) Plutarch tells Effie she isn't a prisoner, and is free to join District 13. How has Effie been eating if she has stayed in her cubicle the whole time? You can only eat in 13 in the common dining halls.
