It works as a short film, but as part of The Batman, I am glad it got cut. Are we just gonna get a 5 minute scene in the middle of the film involving Batman's greatest villain without any buildup or backstory? Was it just gonna be a 5 minute scene and that is it.
I think it would had been very distracting, I am also not a big fan of the Joker in the end of the film too.
Anyways, it is a cool deleted scene, but it doesn't change the movie at all.
7/10.

This joker is probably the most balanced combination between comic accuracy and realism. We are talking about a joker that probably fell into the chemicals and that's why he is looking like that. We need a genius mind, freak, clown prince of crime, neither a supermodel nor a gangster nor a sophisticated guy like the previous versions. He is something new and promising by a very talented actor.

I think the reason people are quick to judge these movies when they come out is because they are expecting a performance compared to their own favorite versions of Batman or the Joker. As long as there is new storylines coming out, there is going to be a new take on all the characters. If you read the comics then you know there are different worlds and every character is different then the last one. I was skeptical about Patterson playing Batman. And while I'm not a fan of him being Bruce Wayne I understand his character is more human and as a young detective just starting out so it works! I think this is the first time they got the dark atmosphere right since the 1989 Batman movie! This is the way they all should have been shot!

Some people are upset with newer joker personas because they keep comparing any new Joker to past Joker performances. Ultimately, they have to let Jack Nicholson's & Heath Ledger's performances go & judge these newer joker's performances subjectively as their own entities...

Fine for a deleted scene, but they didn't need this in an already 3 hour film. The making friends at the end of the film was good enough. Now I personally love Delete scenes and thought this was a great little kid bit to see before seeing the actual film.

This doesn't add much at all to the main movie and it's clear why they cut it. The Joker has been done three excellent times in the past 20+Yrs (Nicholson, Ledger, Phoenix) and this version pales to all. The Joker here comes across more like a junky and doesn't spar well with Batman - you could tell by the end that Batman wanted to leave just because of bored he was during this scene. Poor setup of yet another edition of the joker. It's time to move on, great reintroduction of the Penguin and the Riddler. It's time to move onto other storylines and other villains.

This was a really great scene in my opinion, Barry Keoghan gives a really good performance as the Joker in just five minutes, and the chemistry between this Batman and Joker is definitely there. However, this would've felt out of place in the movie and took too much away from the story. I don't know where it would even fit, but yeah, I'm glad it's cut but also glad we got to see it!

The Batman is everything I wanted. Thank you Matt Reeves, casts and creators! Matt Reeves is The GOAT. Wow I can't believe how perfect this film is! Cinematography is amazing. Score is amazing. Story is amazing. Only 5 minutes of Barry's Joker, but you can see so much potential.
I know this is only a 5 minute deleted scene, but I fell in love with Barry Keoghan as I watched. He seems like he'd be a great Joker just like Paul Dano was a great Riddler. I could tell (even tho it was blurry) by the facial expressions and movements that he really could pull it off. I waited and waited for the most important part of being joker and held my breath hoping he'd nail it...the laugh. The end came and we are shown his smile which was fantastic (great makeup) and then Barry laughed. I loved it. The cackling, steadiness, volume, pitch...just loved it all. I'd very much like to see him as joker more in the future.

I was very suprised when I watched this deleted scene. It was basically The Batman talking with The Joker, about stuff that I want spoil about. It was about what was happening in the film. Anyway, if I have to be honest, I understand why it was deleted. This movie was long from the beginning, and I feelt that this scene did not quite fit in the movie. From another side, we did only have Joker in one little scene, and it would be cool if we could have Joker just a little more. He is just such a great character anyway. We may get him some more in The Batman 2? We will see. The scene was not interesting about how it was made, only about what they are talking about. Joker played by Bary Keogahn was a new interesting detail that spiced up the new franchise. So overall it was ok but it was not necessary to have this scene included in The Batman.

It has to be the only reason why the studio thought it was a good idea to release this scene. The edgiest Joker put on the big screen.
Barry Keoghan looks like he wandered in from the set of The Walking Dead and just mumbled his lines. Now watch the Matt Reeves fanboys claim this is "the best Joker evurrr!!!".
Far below Phoenix, Nicholson and Ledger, heck, I would even put Leto above this Zombieker.

Why WB, honestly I always wonder what this company does in the DC world, this 5 minutes was great, the actor's acting was so great, also this deleted scene set the stage for legendary events. Screw you WB.
