I always thought that certain laughable steps taken by the system could definitely lead someone misusing it to the core and this flick successfully manages to draw our attention towards such issues.
The west has SWAT and we once had Romeo Squad, a name that terrified young couples in certain parts of the country for being guilty of falling in love and looking for some descent quality time in public places.
The true criminals weren't scared much of the consequences of their deeds as the romantically involved couples were of the Romeo Squad and this fear created by the system along with the support of several media firms opened the door of opportunities for many sick minded people to gamble on this fear.
I am sure many of you have questions as to why am I even talking about the subject that does not has any direct relation with this movie.
Here is the clarification, for international audience to understand why this couple feared so much of the consequences for hardly committing a crime; the audience needed to know everything that is going on in a developing country like ours.
Now for the movie, it did take some time to build up the momentum, which I believe was justified to give little time for character development and Kelkar's entry makes it loud and clear that the thrill ride has begun.
As for the lead pair, I having an experience of watching over 1000 movies/series and can definitely tell that Sidhant Gupta has got game when it comes to acting (really did a good job). Since it's Miss Pinto's debut she should be spared from the reviewers rage. A movie where you have limited dialogues to deliver shouldn't really be anyone's dream debut, nevertheless her acting wasn't bad either and I must say she has a very expressive eyes (you can actually feel the fear her character was experiencing)
The second half is where you see Bhoomika Chawla and I have no complaints from her. She is Bhoomika who even in the most angry avatar couldn't scare a fly. She was good.
A fine flick with a great message to all the young adults out there!

What a superb plot but wasted in slow and dragged execution.
The movie is divided in three portions Love story Then harassment And lastly revenge The portions were extremely slow and dragged to end the movie..the plot was very unique and interesting also the makers have made major portions in a thrilling and interesting way..sidhant and Sharad acted too good and carried the whole movie on their shoulders..the climax was outstanding
Little pace good edits and background music could had achieved views also this was a purely OTT release probably greed by makers to release in theatre landed the movie in flop charts.
Cheap and best movie.

Sharad kelkar and the lead male charchatr don't know his name done excellent job , movie was good nice engaging but yes one time watch .
But but last 10 seconds very poor , throughout the movie that girl seems to be polite nice traditional girl suddenly 10 seconds her entire expression changed, and show vulgar posture, Indian directors always do some blunder, Team should really works on the movie name and ending should change orelse movie was good. Operation Romeo name itself suggesting don't watch this will be a chapri movie 🤣🤣 but movie was not chapri movie a decent underrated movie . Good script.

Slow burner, and very dragged! Liked the beginning of the movie, during the love story part- especially the sweet, natural acting- which set up high expectations for the rest of the movie. Both the actors have done a great job throughout the movie. HOWEVER, the rest of the movie was infuriating and it started feeling like there was no specific direction it was heading in, just frustrating scenes that dragged on and on. It angered me no end to see how the actions of the ML were justified/glorified, and the trauma of the FL was not even touched upon, like it wouldn't have existed! BUT THEN, the movie redeemed itself in the last 30 seconds! Great ending to an otherwise drab movie.

The movie starts on a slow track.works out well..and then slowly like an onion peels out the layers ,hints outat rhe cafe scene about some toxic masculinity, and as the movie gets over the pay offis entertaining.

Finally watched Operation Romeo on Netflix. This was one film I was waiting for since I saw its trailer. The film lacked aggressive promotional strategy and was released in the theatres. It went unnoticed and didn't work at the box office unfortunately. Even now it's arrival on Netflix has been without any noise.
After watching the film I can say it met my expectations. It satisfies on many counts. Firstly as a socially relevant film about moral policing. Secondly as a romantic thriller/ revenge drama that has you gripped right from the word go.
All the actors have done a fantastic job. Sharad Kelkar is terrific. The lead actors Sidhant Gupta and Vedika Pinto who debuts here are impressive. They share an adorable chemistry. Sidhant gets many moments to shine and has a brilliant transition in the film. Bhumika Chawla is good.
Director Shashant Shah has made a really good film. Quality content like this certainly deserves an audience. Hopefully with good word of mouth it now gets love and appreciation.

A couple is out on a joyride on the streets of Mumbai , when their night takes a hellish turn . The direction is slightly aggravating when a lot of the dialogue and actions are played out a little too much , but if you stick with it , the movie will not disappoint .

This movie is copy of South movie ISHQ not a love story. Acting in the original one is at a different level. Only good thing in this movie is Sharad Kelkar's acting.

Liked this thriller very much. I always don't expect bollywood movie to be a W but this one is worth the watch. Nice script that the cast have brilliantly worked and made it successful. 9/10 for the confusing climax in the end.

Although the movie was dragging initially, it got interesting after the entry of Sharad Kelkar. This movie sends a message that never bully or take advantage of someone's private life.

15mins into this badly written and directed film you already know it's time to put this off and move on to something else.
Companies like Reliance are going bankrupt because they keep paying money to overrated Directors and production houses that keep churning out garbage and Neeraj Pandey is definitely on the top of that list.
Netflix should maintain some standards and not showcase rubbish like this.
Please don't even try watching this.

Initial lagging , then smooth. Excellent ending..its a remake film. Hindi version is also good. Ambulance driver is good but not better than Shine Tom chacko.
The film states it has been inspired by true incidents and I am sure one would definitely think what would you do if you ever get caught in this type of situation.
Yes, the film is that real!
The movie subtly talk about toxic masculinity and the climax sequence seems like an apt closure to the intense drama.
A few sequences of the horrifying night are shot sloppily which could be the only negative aspect of the movie.
All the 5 leads have done a commendable job. Sidhhant's character goes through a sudden change which the actor couldn't do much justice though.
A good watch especially for those who haven't watched the original one.

Surprised at the low ratings. Excellent acting by everyone especially Sharad Kelkar. The only other person who could have done as good as Sharad is this guy from Crime Patrol..don't remember his name. But Sharad was awesome and so were the debutant actors. Was happy to watch a good movie after a long time on Netflix..The director may have had many options on how to end the movie but his pick was brave but perfect.

Awesome , just awesome acting by Sharad and Kishore - the two supposed villains . Needed a better role for Bhumika- senseless what was shown in Sharad's house - just senseless - the goodness of the villains and wife to not just kill / hurt the supposed hero is so true that the story line could've been awesome if deveined half was more sensible.

I found the movie to be very intense, edge of the seat kind of thriller, and quite new for Bollywood movies! I was pleasantly surprised by this movie, I think it's very experimental for Bollywood, which is needed. It focuses on important themes and I would recommend everyone give it a watch.
The acting by the whole cast was amazing, and the new debutants did an incredible job, and of course the experienced actors were as good as ever!
Don't understand why it's rated so low? I thought it was great... especially the ending!!

Worst movie i have ever seen in my whole life disgusting. The acting was disgusting. The story line was disgusting. The ending was not disgusting. The actress was disgusting. The boy did everything he could but still the girl did not appraise the effort and the movie just ended. What a waste of time. They should have never made this movie in the first place. A lot of cringe at the start and lot of drama in the middle and the worst possible ending anyone could have ever imaged. Like the boy made mistakes but then he tried to overcome the mistakes from past and prove to girl that he can be an actual man but that ungrateful girl did not even gave him a chance. The whole fault was of boy's that he could not even protect his girl. Then he tried to make up for it but the ungrateful girl never gave the boy a chance. Like worst movie ever.

This definitely deserves a watch. It's a romantic thriller and also a socially relevant film. Unfortunately this went unnoticed. Much better than many high budget movies. The lead has done exceptional acting.
My ratings 9/10!
