I cant even remember if I have done a imdb review before but I definetly feel that this needs one. I have watched 20+ k-dramas over the course of 2.5 years and this title is fighting for the top spot.
As mention in other reviews the scenery and acting really is amazing. I really feel like this series was ment to be a movie but they extended it to give it more room to grow and it really did!
The story turns out to be quite generic but wow, I was still constantly on my toes and I really felt a connection to the happenings in the series, in a way that is so hard to put forward.
One thing in detail that stod out to me is that when things get little bit sour and I get little bit mad/sad, it quickly turns back and gives me the actions of the characters that I would like to see. The actions to make me happy again and proud to see that there are some writers/directors out there that seams to share my feelings.
The only reason this isnt getting 10 stars is because I would have liked to change the ending. The ending need to have more of a klimax, one that gives us dramatically exactly what we were waiting for in an unexpected way.

Soundtrack#1 is a romantic work that was as beautiful and exquisite as a picture, with everything in its place to the point, however it was a shame that it couldn't last for many episodes, which might have been a better treatment in terms of character development and relationship of friendship to love exposure.
The drama has a good soundtrack, soothing and alleviating oneself from any sadness, to create a good mood. Soundtrack #1 elicited sympathy from viewers by depicting the romantic story of 'between love and friendship' in a cute manner, bearing satisfactory results, although it could have been much more than that.
The major point missing in the drama was the connection they formed, their past wasn't much explored, how they connected and 20 years later, the bond still prevailed. This could have had a major impact in the story which otherwise ended with a very simple and cliche ending.
My Rating : 6.5/10.

I actually paid for a Disney+ subscription just to watch this series. Little did I know that it was going to be such a short series. I expected much more romance/intimacy from these two beautiful actors. "Nevertheless", I don't regret my subscription. I watch all of Park Hyung-sik's work and have seen his transformation from "High Society", to "Happiness" and is a delight to watch every time. Soundtrack #1 had great music and beautiful imagery. It is lighthearted and good clean love. Now I realize why Disney was the right streaming service for it. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed and you can watch it's entirety in one sitting.

A must watch korean drama. The cinematography and the chemistry 💯 💯💯🔥🔥🔥. Hansohee is really a versatile actress, I love her so much. She can portray different characters so well. I'm looking forward to this drama and i'm really excited for episode 2. Their chemistry is topnotch so i'm really mad that it is only 4episodes drama. They deserve more than that.

This was so good, but still not worth the wait Disney I will stay mad about that!! Finally, months after airing in Korea and what seemed like every other region of the world getting access on their Disney Plus the U. S. girlies get access and I still have retroactive fomo. But okay it's cold and rainy here now and this was the perfect wat h on a rainy day. So easy to finish in one sitting, I would love more of these 4 part 45 minutes life vignette things. Ummm y'all Han So Hee's acting has improved so much! The issues I had on "Nevertheless" don't exist here, her eyes and face are emotive so it's not giving zombie anymore. She's great, I actually love her character even if she's a little clueless at times.

Updating after a rewatch about 5 months later...
Upping my rating from a 9 to a 10. Yes, I'd love to see more but I can't fault the series for being short.
The actors are amazing. The emotions they convey are subtle yet powerful. I found this riveting.
The cinematography is absolutely beautiful. Lovingly crafted.
I'll be watching this one once a year for sure.
===== Original review below ====
This is a very short series. But the writers and producers manage to tell a complete story in 4 episodes. As is often the case in KDramas things are resolved and wrapped up at the very end, but with this short a series it is totally understandable.
The Good Stuff The acting is fantastic. The two leads had great chemistry. The subtleties of their expressions really drew you in and riveted you to the screen. They managed to portray the awkward friends-to-lovers moments in a very touching and believable way.
Han So-Hee in particular was phenomenal. I have not seen her in any other series, and the descriptions of her past series don't seem too interesting, but I am so hoping we will see more of her as a lead.
I am still amazed at the quality of the story and acting in so many KDramas.
The story is not new. But it is very well written and executed.
The cinematography is beautiful and complements the tone of the story so well.
The balance between somber and light moments is perfect.
The Less Than Good Stuff I seldom complain that a series is too short, but I would love to see a Season 2 so we could see the leads' relationship progress. And maybe see the reactions of the female lead's mom. But this series wrapped up in a lovely, positive way so I won't be too bummed if there is no Season 2. But as others have noted, maybe 8 episodes would have been great!
Overall Beautiful. Touching. Watch it - in one evening :-)

This latest K-drama from Han So Hee has a mediocre but well-written story. The decision to only present 4 episodes is a good thing with material that is not verbose and straight to the point. Unfortunately, because it's short, I don't get the romantic moments that should be more between Han So Hee and Park Hyung Sik.

Story is about one sided love and the whole drama evolves around how the male lead ( Park hyung sik) feels, cares for her. I felt kind of sad while watching because of the Park Hyung sik unnoticed love and care. However, it has a happy ending so it feels wholesome at the end.
So,this drama seems pretty okay as it has only 4 episodes . But,there isn't much to offer and nothing is new in this, kind of story that we already watched somewhere in K drama's.

To be very honest, I was afraid to get into this drama as I thought that both Park Hyungsik and Han Sohee came from different acting realms and that they would have 0 chemistry in a drama with such a light and fluffy theme.
However I was proven wrong in the most satisfying way possible. I mean I knew both of them were phenomenal actors, but they really caught me off guard here, especially Han Sohee, since I'd only watched dramas in which she'd played some sort of villainous character.
My only complain with it was that it was too short. I mean yeah I get it that they were going for minimalism here but for God's sake, it should've lasted for at least 7/8 episodes. Especially with a heavily versatile, talented and sought after actor-actress combo, they could've done a lot more experimentation with the storyline along with the addition of a lot more emotionally intimate scenes.
To conclude, this drama is definitely worth watching, however I can guarantee it will leave you wanting more ;))

SOUNDTRACK NO 1 is a sweet story about friendship & romance. It's a simple idea, but it's carried out with panache & style. This is a short but effective Kdrama that makes the most of its limited screen time, leaving you wanting more at every turn. SOUNDTRACK NO 1 reunites two best friends who have been friends since high school.
The setup is extremely straightforward, with a solid foundation. The angst, the stare, the EVERYONE CAN SEE HIS LOVE FOR HER BUT SHE DOES NOT, the subtle acts of care - they're all heart-warming & adorable.
The pairing of Han So Hee & Park Hyung Sik is unlikely, but the casting director made the right choice. Following their action-packed dramas (MY NAME & HAPPINESS), we get to see both of them in a more relaxed setting, showcasing their versatility as actors. I can't get enough of Han So Hee's performance. The portrayal of her role is AMAZING. I adore her bubbly character. And again, Hyung Sik is back with another gentle male lead character. He's a brilliant actor who can captivate his audience & easily transport his emotions & thoughts to us through his excellent acting skills. I've to admit, the chemistry between the leads was MADLY ELECTRIFYING.
Although I wish it were longer or had more episodes, this story doesn't waste a second of its running time, cutting in & out while telling its story effectively & with a lot of cool visual cues & solid OSTs to boot through only four episodes. So, while I wish we saw more of these two characters, I understand.
No spoilers here but SOUNDTRACK NO 1 rounds out its story beautifully. This drama is best compared to a riveting short story. I was captured by the words & the emotions, stringing along to the end but then surprised to find it over just as quickly as I began.
In short, It's hard not to like what SOUNDTRACK NO 1 offers. It's a simple, effective drama & a good gateway into Korean content if you've never watched one of these dramas before. With good writing, strong characters & a couple of excellent songs on the OST, SOUNDTRACK NO 1 stays in-key & delivers its four-track ensemble with beautiful grace. This is one of the better dramas of 2022.

The story was such a cliche, but the acting and direction were not. I think that's what this series intended. OTTs offer way too many series with violence or whatever that shocks people to the greatest extent possible. This series is like a fairy tale that makes you remember youthful days when you first got to know the feelings of love. Park Hyungsik who is born to be a romantic male lead did a superb job to portray what he had to portray and Han Sohee also showed the romantic side of her. They filmed this series while shooting other drama series. So let's not expect something big. It is really good enough and I thank them for deciding to be in this series. I especially enjoyed ep.3. I highly recommend this series.

This drama for me is perfect as an interlude i.e. When you're looking for something short and sweet. It's kinda in the rom-com genre where it's a predictable story but it's fun and sweet. Don't expect a full blown with ups, downs, history and all the drama in between. It's more like a long movie. It hooks you in, tells you a story and before you know it it's over. I found it perfect because it's a nice break from the overly serious series and the over the top K dramas. It's serious in its own way but fun throughout and you won't regret watching if your looking for a light hearted sweet mini series.

Korean Mini Drama "Soundtrack #1" has beautiful cinematography but not much when it came to the story.
The drama has an unoriginal and pretty predictable story, which works as a snapshot of the relationship between two friends and the progress of it, as it changes from just friends to something more. Unfortunately, the story didn't have much to offer.
On the other hand, the pace was just right for four-episode long series, and the performances top notch by everyone in the cast.
In addition, the cinematography was brilliant, atmospheric, and just like a song.
So, overall, 4 out of 10.

I am bit surprised how can a beautiful story be wrapped up in such a short episode. It was a lovely short journey ride, this series is kinda ma type, I liked it and not regret it to choose yo watch all after 1 st episode.
I will say this is much better than other series giving an unsatisfied long story. All the characters are damn good never seen one bad taste in every korean film industries who make series.
Park juyung hik embarks some unique taste I must say which I personally like, I started liking his series after Happiness 😊 before that I didn't know him , in that series both the Happiness actress and him made a dent on our heart which made us to watch more from them if lucky watching them together in a lovely way.
I like this series soundtrack, both of them won our heart, thank you for such a beautiful short series. Enjoyed it.

Great story. I wish it was a full kdrama series. Han So-hee is great in this series. I really like her acting skills among all kdrama actresses. I was first introduced to her from a Netflix show called "My name" and the second drama was abyss. To see her in this mini series in a different role was really great to see.
Plot was great, the male lead was great in this as well! I recommend this mini series to anyone who enjoys kdrama. It is one that must be watched. One of my top 10 that I've watched so far.
If you watch this I promise you won't be disappointed. Something great to watch on a weekend night if you decide to stay in.

Soundtrack #1 is a straightforward friends-to-lovers story revolving around artistry & the trials of life. The aesthetics are great & the friendship between the leads is believable & worth investing in before moving onto their romance. While this does include unrequited love, it doesn't feel forced & it feels like a natural progression of the feelings built in the relationship between the leads. It also stars Park Hyungsik, one of my favorite romantic drama heroes. Han Sohee & Hyungsik do a great job providing balance to each other on screen. I recommend this to someone who wants a really simple, sensible story with some amount of relationship drama with a sprinkle of comedy that shows the growth between two people who actually don't mess up their friendship in the process of becoming romantically involved.

The actress really doesn't know what she was doing..
Over react to all scenes - she try to act like a direct girl.. the review is that she acts like a crazy woman...
Om... it could be a good drama if someone really knows how to act taking the role...

First, there is no relation between Soundtrack #1 and 2, since it is about totally different characters. I enjoyed watching Soundtrack #1 because the main lead actors were fantastic, but the story line was ok and the 4 episode series was slow.
Soundtrack #2 was so much more enjoyable! I laughed and teared up watching Soundtrack #2 and found #2 to be a solid romantic comedy, while #1 seemed very drama heavy to me. The actors in Soundtrack #2 are relatable and I totally get the romantic moments between them. If you like romantic comedies, I highly recommend you check out the 6 episode Soundtrack #2 first. Soundtrack #2 has happy vibes and the music in it was pretty good too!
