Storyline
Featured review
This movie comprises shots of Klee's work, along with some photos from his life. The images of his art are stunningly clear, and the colors are sumptuous.
The narrative accompaniment is reverential but simply put and thoughtful, with an admirably high ratio of content to B.S. Quite a lot of the narrative is drawn from Klee's own copious journals.
The documentary itself is just 52 minutes long. Also included on the DVD are slides of 150 of his works housed in Bern--not all the same as in the documentary. Even if you're a Klee devotee, there are many images you're likely never to have seen before.
Like each of Klee's works, this movie is a tiny gem.
