The film production budget ran up to a grand total of 18 million Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). This was probably because it had employed over 200 extras and 130 production crew from countries like Poland, Australia and Indonesia, meaning that the production house had to pay them according to their own currency rates.
The film was scheduled for release in Malaysia in December 2013, but it was delayed as U-Wei needed funds for marketing and promotion of the film. It was however released in Indonesia in 2014, where the cast had a gala premiere. The film finally made it to Malaysian cinema in November 2016.
With a production budget of MYR18 million and a box-office gross of less than MYR200,000, this is the biggest flop in Malaysian movie history.
