I did not expect to see such a low rating. In my opinion the show is worth watching, it has a nice pace, lovable characters who face realistic human problems, and the series makes you really root for them by the end. Plus it is really easy to watch.

You'll love this!
What a find! Great characters, real life issues and a superb script. Very believable and so human. Far too short and praying for another series. Watch it.

I watch a lot of shows, mostly because I can't sleep at night. I loved all the characters in this show, especially Nazir! They all have a certain grace, in their own way, even the supporting characters. And that's why I think this show is smart and well written, because you can identity with all the characters, even if they are very different from each others. 'Standing up' feels refreshing, funny but not superficial. Most of the shows that are new on Netflix, whether they are comedy shows, dramas, or other genre (I watch them all!), lack of something in my opinion. Inspiration or authenticity I suppose, so they are a non-chemical sleeping pill to me: after watching two episodes I fall asleep. This show kept me awake because I wanted to see more. I hope there will come another season, I will definitely watch it!

I watched on Netflix; this was SO well done with awesome character development. I absolutely love Aissatou, Bling, and Nasir/his girlfriend; I'm hoping for a season 2 as i'd love a follow-up to these characters, definitely binge-worthy.

Heartfelt story. Lots of laughs. Some tears, too.
Somehow this show manages to be everything all at once. It showcases first and foremost a beautiful friendship between the stars, Aissa and Nezir, but also touches upon some very difficult themes that have been woven seamlessly into the story. There is love, loss, betrayal, racism (the blatant stuff and the subtler stuff not often dealt with well in Hollywood fare), community. But it's funny.
In the end, I think that the success of the show is that you end up really caring for the characters. Even the peripheral ones or the ones who are deeply flawed. You can laugh with them in one moment and then find yourself moved to tears in the next.
Brilliant show. One of my favourites on Netflix, for sureS.

What a surprise give us more. This is the best show i've seen for a long time. They are cool, fun and good actors. A must seen. I was not excepting something so good. Thank you Netflix for this fresh humor.

I don't agree with the low rates. It was a bit of a surprise but I really found the script, actors and production very good. The personages face real life problems but the story is very light. They address family, friendship, work and love issues in a way that you can identify with and root for the personages. Paris as a background is a plus. The only thing wrong with it is that there are only six episodes, I can't wait for another season!

And the jokes in the stand-up routines are actually very good. And on top of it, the series touches on some social issues. Well done and hope for more.

To be honest I started this series out of curiosity, and I found it very intriguing and funny. It starts off as a classic comedy series before touching and a lot of sensitive topics. The acting stuff was great and the location (Paris) was obviously amazing. Strongly suggested!

Seinfeld for millennials, with Friends crossovers, but in the right ways. Easy to watch, feelgood, but witty and crass. Balanced bits of drama, life, and standup. Give it a go.

The biggest disappointment of this show is that it stops after 6 episodes. I want more! I'm french, I can tell the jokes don't translate perfectly, but my wife who is not french, still loves it. It's funny, it's touching, it's brillant and well interpreted. It makes me proud :)

I've been on a stand-up vibe(even considering doing it), I even watched CNN's The History Of Comedy which I enjoyed. So this show is a fulfilment of the flow I've been on. I absolutely loved everything about this series. The characters, the emotional tones, the social, the plot. I'm blessed to have watched this.

I started watching when I saw the same creator from Call My Agent created this one and it did not disappoint! Great cast, great storyline. Having studied and worked in France, I could identify with a lot of the cultural nuances and themes that are very specific to the country but at the same time as a US person I could also identify with some of the themes. Overall a great show, great cast and great storyline. Très bien fait !

Extremely disappointed that we won't be getting more of this show. I thought it cleverly written and well acted. The characters were likable and honestly it was such a hidden gem ! So so annoyed with netflix for deciding to cancel this.

Enjoyed this show so much! Can't believe it is cancelled but the one season can still stand on its own and is worth a watch. The characters are great and very lovable and unique.

The writing is sophisticated, the characters developed and complex and more sensitive societal issues are tackled with care and depth. It is also quickly engaging and easy to watch, and respectfully caters to a wide and diverse public - not an easy feat. I was also very impressed with the acting especially from the newcomers - nuanced and on point. I liked this show even more than Fanny's previous Call My Agent (Dix Pour Cent) and given all these strengths I can't believe I haven't heard more noise about this show and neither can I believe it hasn't been renewed for another season. Honestly one of the best shows of '22 and '23.
