Loosely based on the real life vampires Richard Chase and Roderick Ferrell.
Pacey wears a River's Edge shirt in the movie. River's Edge was loosely based on Ricky Kasso, and Pacey quotes Ricky by yelling "Say you love Satan!", which is what Kasso yelled at his friend before murdering him. It was also the name of his biography.
