HalloweeNight otherwise known as All Hallows eve is an independent horror made on the shoestring budget of just $4000. Now prior to this I watched another film of the same ilk made for a reported $100,000 and it looked like it was made on a handicam, I can only assume they had really good catering.
Considering the low budget HalloweeNight actually looks quite good, when it comes to cgi it struggles but for four grand it by all rights should have been worse.
It tells the story of a slow minded man who becomes bullied by some locals. He sets about calling forth the dark arts and animates a scarecrow to do his bidding and get revenge for him.
From there it descends into generic slasher territory with few surprises but does it competently enough.
Yes it's brainless, yes it's unoriginal but all things considered this is far better than you'd have expected.
The Good:
Looks great considering the budget
The Bad:
Dreadful soundtrack
Pretty poorly paced
Things I Learnt From This Movie:
Living scarecrows one true weakness....................garage doors!

This movie essentially revolves around a college janitor the locals call "Creepy Harry" (Todd Carpenter) due to the peculiar way he interacts with others. So peculiar in fact, that some nearby college students decide to play a prank on him by dismembering a scarecrow he had worked so hard to set up in his yard. Seeing this, he implores them to stop--only to be beaten up for his efforts. So, filled with rage, he steals a human heart from the college medical laboratory and, with the help of black magic, instills life into the remade scarecrow and orders it to destroy his enemies who just happen to be hosting a party that Halloween night. Now, rather than reveal any more, I will just say that this was one of those films that could have been better with a larger budget as the overall plot wasn't that bad. The problem, however, was that all of the male actors seemed much too old to be playing the part of college kids living with their parents. Not only that, but their acting abilities were also rather questionable as well. And while the two female actresses, Cindy Wheeler (as "Trixie") and Danielle Donahue ("Liz") were possibly more suitable for their roles, neither one of them could save this movie by themselves, and I have rated it accordingly.
This movie was awesome and will really rock your mind! Creepy Harold is a horror icon on par with the likes of Norman Bates, Freddie Krueger , Michael Myers, Jason Vorhees and The Camp Blood Killer Clown. The ageless Ken Vansant was perfect for the role of the 52 year old college student/babe magnet. Danielle Donahue was the star once again even though she wasn't the lead. The movie borders on a perfect 10 but the casting of Todd Carpenter is hard to get past. His performance is on par with any of Jeff Kirkendalls. If you don't know who Jeff Kirkendall is (and you shouldn't) he is the worst actor on the planet. Carpenter gives him a run for that title but falls just short. If you are a fan of Polonia movies that feature Danielle Donahue and Ken Vansant then you will enjoy this amazingly executed story of horror! Gather your friends, grab the popcorn and beer and settle in for a fun frightful night of laughs and gasps!

This movie was amazing though the so called collage students were like 35 and married who cares this film has inspired me to do some filmaking as well and i could tell that the director aka ( Mark Polonia) putted a lot of effort into this to honor his brother and the effects and cgi at the end was great using stop motion

This was actually a pretty good film. I know some of you may not feel the same way but, I actually really liked it. I am a big Mark Polonia fan myself and I didn't see this movie until yesterday. Good Job Mark!
