Jack Huston has been cast as a series regular in the Spider-Man Noir live-action series “Spider-Noir” at Amazon, Variety has learned.

Huston will appear alongside series lead Nicolas Cage as well as fellow series regulars Brendan Gleeson, Lamorne Morris, Abraham Popoola, and Li Jun Li. As previously reported, the show will debut domestically on MGM+’s linear channel and then globally on Amazon Prime Video.

Exact details on Huston’s character are being kept under wraps.

Unfortunately, in order to make room for the new content hitting the platform this month, it’s time to say goodbye to some of the old. From “Dumb and Dumber To” to the original “Spider-Man,” the family favorites category is taking some tough losses.

The 2022 film that took home seven Oscars (including Best Picture), “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” is making its departure after five months on the streaming platform. Another award-winning film headed out the Netflix doors is “American Hustle.” Some other big upsets this month are “The Blind Side” and the original “Paddington.”

After 6 Academy-Award nominations and no wins, Amy Adams is gritting her teeth to earn the gold in the upcoming Marielle Heller adaptation of Rachel Yoder’s magical realism novel, “Nightbitch.” The book and film tell the story of a stay-at-home mother whose domesticity turns ferocious as she slowly starts mutating into a dog. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Adams spoke on the transformation she undertook for the role and her reaction to reading the source material.

“It was so unique and otherworldly, and like nothing I’d ever read before,” Adams said of Yoder’s novel, which she tore through before it was even published. To option the rights to the book, Adams’ production company partnered with Annapurna Pictures, who she’d worked with on “The Master,” “Her,” “American Hustle,” and “Vice.”

Searchlight Pictures will be giving Nightbitch, a project that has been described as being a darkly comic “neo-horror” movie and stars Amy Adams (American Hustle) in the lead role, a theatrical release on December 6th – which is an upgrade in the release plans, as Nightbitch was originally meant to be released through the Hulu streaming service. The American Cinematheque is set to give Jessica Chastain its top prize.

Chastain will be honored with the American Cinematheque Award on Dec. 6 during a ceremony in Beverly Hills that will also see Oppenheimer producer Charles Roven receive the Power of Cinema Award.

“She (Chastain) is a fierce advocate for social causes and an active film and television producer. In all her endeavors, a commitment to excellence shines through as well as a burning intelligence. The American Cinematheque is proud and honored to present Jessica Chastain with the 38th American Cinematheque Award,” the organization’s board chair Rick Nicita said in a statement on Friday.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, Netflix’s high profile feature release for this month, arrives on July 3. This time, Foley must team up with a new partner — played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt — when his daughter’s (Taylour Paige) life is threatened. Netflix has a couple of major series airing all or part of their final seasons in July 2024. The hit Spanish drama Elite is set to premiere its eighth and final season in full this month with one final mystery (July 26), Vikings: Valhalla is setting off on one final adventure with its third season (July 11), and Cobra Kai is also entering its swan song era with the first part of its final sixth season arriving on Netflix July 18.

The most notable movie offering this month is Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F (July 3).
