Miroslav Krobot and Petr Nározný were considered for the part of Václav Orel, eventually played by Ludek Sobota. However, Nározný eventually played another role in the last episode of the series, and Krobot played the title character of its prequel Sunday League - Pepik Hnatek's Final Match (2012).

Petr Ctvrtnícek turned down the part of Matejka, eventually played by Pavel Necas.

Ivan Trojan was considered for the part of Jirka Lunák, eventually played by Ondrej Vetchý.
