The first of three micro-budget movies to be made in Bristol, UK under the iFeatures scheme. The second being 8 Minutes Idle (2012) and the third Flying Blind (2012).
In the Dark Half was shot in Bristol, England. Producer Matheson was drawn to the script because of the quality and opportunity to work in a new genre, and director Siddons was inspired by European horror films.[2]
This was actor James Stocker's first appearance on screen... however his scene was cut but his names still is in the credits.
