- TriviaExtensive research was done for the cultures, particularly areas such as costuming, technology, and music, to develop an alternate world which merges aspects of WWII Nazi and Imperial Japanese cultures with the cultural progress of mid-1950s America. Although the series is set in 1962, the use of the 1950s for many touchstones suggests the cultural stagnation that would have occurred under totalitarian occupation.
- GoofsThe Japanese sign in the aikido dojo says Habu Yakkyoku in Japanese which means Lance-Head Snake Pharmacy.

Rufus Sewell was amazing thoughout, season 3&4 were not
Late to the party but I just completed all seasons of The Man in the High Castle and totally agree with the reviews mentioning that the 1 & 2 season are brilliant while the 3rd is falling short and the 4th is even worse.
The camera work as well as the acting is very good throughout most of the series, but the writing is just getting worse after season 2. Starting from season 3 there are a lot of new characters which to be honest do not add anything to the story and their appreance and their story feels forced. Also a lot of old characters are written poorly and the character development is at least wierd.
The only thing I just loved thoughout the series was Rufus Sewell as John Smith. He was just amazing and I am very disappointed that his performance wasn't remarked by the Emmy or Golden Globe committee. He gave a seemingly evil and roughless character a human side with whom you could empatise. Also his gestures, the way he talked and the internal struggles of the characters felt really genuine. To be honest I just watched the show till the end to see how John Smith ends ups.
Season 1&2 9/10 Season 3&4 7/10.
