The play was delightful but because of that loud music background while the couple was talking I could NOT make out what they were saying! Why oh why do you do that because music is superfluous and extremely annoying. And totally unnecessary. Friends of mine have also complained about this practice also. The scenery was beautiful and the little girl is an excellent actress. I was disappointed in the leading lady's hairdo. I can't imagine a high-powered executive with such a messy coiffure. The actor who played Greg fit a weak sneaky fiancé' perfectly. Oce again don't ever play background music behind conversations!
They actually filmed this at that castle and it was so beautiful. I didn't know that until I see where they filmed it on this IMDb page. I thought it might have been just a backdrop for visual affect, but it was real. I've never seen such a pretty castle, but I hear Ireland is gorgeously green. The movie was cute, but average for me. I still liked it because it's Hallmark and these kind of movies will never get a poor rating from me because they are about love, which is me! I've seen this movie in the past as well, so I remembered it. It's worth one watch.
I rated this higher for the gorgeous setting. The cast was great except for the lead actress, who was so wooden it seemed that she has never loved at all and therefore had no idea how to pretend. The storyline and everything was well written, but it was just not selling because she was so stoic and harsh. Anyone who yelled at people like she did in the beginning would NEVER have another chance!
The movie was heartwarming and entertaining, as far as I could tell, if I could hear what the characters were saying over the loud music. The scenery was breathtaking. The connection between an American woman and an Irish man was intriguing.
The reason I gave this movie a one was because the music in the background was so loud that I could not hear what the characters were saying and there should not be music while one is speaking. If one can't enjoy the movie, then one might as well not watch it. The music ruined everything for me.
It would be nice for Hallmark to take note of the older movies when you could hear every word and not have to strain your ears, and I have excellent hearing. The music is very distracting. You don't need music when one is speaking.

I was disappointed with this movie. The storyline was a typical love story formula, but I expected that so that was okay. What I did not care for was Nicollette Sheridan's acting ability, or lack of ability. She had no depth and displayed but two moods, mad and happy. She was unable to portray deeper feelings which led me to not empathizing with her character. Considering Greg Wise can endear himself with a raise of an eyebrow, I sat there wondering "why did they match up these two actors?" At the same time, I held out hope that it could be salvaged with a spark igniting between them. But, here was the real disappointment: the two actors lacked chemistry between each other...and in a love story, the right chemistry is crucial in making the formula work.
If you've read my reviews, you've seen that one of my first lines of criticism for this type of Rom/com is overused cliché plot devices. This movie may have a couple (OK the leads start off with the obligatory antagonism), but I didn't notice because many of the plot devices are different, even unique. I can't think of a honeymoon-for-one story. There are some interesting developments later in the movie also. The story kept moving just enough to hold me.
I'm not a fan of Nicollette Sheridan, and her character early on was such I had doubts I was going to like Eve at any point. But of course, at some point the arrogant rich boss persona softened. Her meeting Kathleen, Katie Bannon (interesting that IMDb has no information on her other than this movie), was a good start, and their relationship did a lot for the movie. I'm guessing that her accent isn't fake and she certainly is a charming representation of an Irish pre-teen.
Did Sheridan and Greg Wise have chemistry? I really didn't see much.
There were a few laughs here and there, many of which inspired by Eve's clumsiness.
The music was slightly distracting, but I didn't have trouble hearing conversation. The music doesn't affect my rating.

I was reading a book while my TV was on for no reason. I do that sometimes, just to have something at the background of my thoughts. At 3:00 p.m. there's usually nothing on that's decent enough for any person to forget about what they're doing and focus on the screen. Spanish viewers have to deal with that since the beginning of TV times. Then there was an annoying sound that startled me. It appears the producers came with a brilliant idea: Why don't we cover up the badness of this script with a nonstop-nonsense soundtrack? And they did it! It's so bad I wanted to be blind for 2 hours. And that's all I can write, honestly.

It only got stars at all because of the scenery.
Absolutely no chemistry between the leading characters. Acting is wooden. Plot is the same as 90% of the Hallmark series involving a high-powered company executive, a much-loved salt of the earth type who has an adorable child and a dead wife/husband, a fiancé/fiancée who is a total smarmy creep, and a sudden epiphany by the leading man/woman about true love and what matters in life. A waste of time when you know exactly what the ending will be in the first 10 minutes of the movie.
Doesn't Hallmark have any other formula to follow? Time for a whole new writing staff!

I watched this movie just because of Nicollette Sheridan and I must admit... I really didn't get this one at all. What kind of thin story was that? I can't understand why these movies are actually shot. Who really wants to watch such a boring movie. The plot / script is so forgettable and they even want to try to be funny but it's more embarrassing. The musical score is as sleepy as the whole "Honeymoon for One". Why Nicollette even took this role I will never understand. It won't certainly be a career pusher. And I wonder... who and where is the audience who enjoys watching this? A nice scenery doesn't make an addition enough to spice up anything. A total waste of time and money which was used for this production

I absolutely loved, loved, loved this movie!!!!! The characters were so sweet and great for each other, and were such naturals, you couldn't help but love them both!!!!!! . This warm hearted, land loving man from Ireland ends up sweeping Eve Parker off her feet and as they are beginning to fall in love, her ex-fiancé shows up in Ireland to try to win her back, to no avail. Her heart is won over by this chivalrous fun-loving man who wants to save the land. He was great, she was great; his heart was big, subtle, and she couldn't help but falling in love with him. I loved the theme, the scenery was great,it was fun loving, romantic, and funny. Both their roles were funny at times; these two characters just became so good for each other with big hearts and that sweet something special! They were absolutely, definitely my favorite characters on Hallmark, it had a lot of spunk!!! I would so love to see them together in another good movie!

This is a refreshing movie with a great pick for the key roles! Nicolette did an amazing job!!! It is the first time I have seen her, but she was such a likable personality! She was sweet and beautiful; a stylish kind of woman, but also had a little bit of a "New York" edge on her as she was meeting the man from Ireland (Lol I'm from the N.E.), which also did an amazing job! He was so entirely likable and she conveyed so many different emotions, it pulled you into what she was feeling when she was betrayed by her fiancé and how she was drawn into this fun loving, romantic relationship with this outdoors Irishman. Although they came from different backgrounds, they were perfect for each other, and meshed so well together. They were very sweet, full of life and romantic together. I felt like they came from two different backgrounds, but were perfect together. It's funny and very engaging, I truly enjoyed it! I would really like to see more movies like this, and a follow up sequel, especially with these two main actors! would like a follow up sequel to this one!

HOW can I buy this entire movie on DVD??? I LOVE IT!! .................It has terrific scenery, wish there was more of that in the movie though, and the music is very familiar to me... like being in an Irish Pub. And they always play and sing loud in those! And the little daughter was adorable. It is like what is wrong with the world today.... with its American people wrapped up in their deeply shallow lives, of cars, clothes, designer dinners, high-rent high-mortgage apartments, body conscience but not mind conscience, and of course -- infidelity that can either ruin a life, or forge a new life. A better life. And it is the usual love/hate/fight/love scenes that make everyone wonder -- "Why fight it?"
