That’s an easy answer and I don’t need to be a zoologist to answer it. Piranhaconda is the new film from legendary producer Roger Corman and cult director Jim Wynorski (Chopping Mall). “The movie revolves around the battle with a creature “with razor sharp teeth and 100 feet of constricting power (via Dread Central).” After the fan favorite Sharktopus, I’m sure SyFy and Corman are looking for another hit. Only other bit of news, is the casting of Diana Terranova from Milf.
More soon. Can’t wait to see the concept art for this one.

How can you possibly top Sharktopus? One word: Piranhaconda!
Matchflick brings the news that Dinocroc/Dinoshark/Supergator/Sharktopus producer Roger Corman has another high concept mutant up for cinematic gene splicing, a hybrid of a piranha and an anaconda. Sharktopus scribe Michael MacLean is penning the script to be directed by Jim Wynorski of Chopping Mall, Return of Swamp Thing, and Dinocroc vs. Supergator fame.
The movie revolves around the battle with a creature "with razor sharp teeth and 100 feet of constricting power."
That's all we know right now plot-wise, and when talking about a movie titled Piranhaconda, that's really all you need.
Shooting begins next month in Hawaii. The only announced cast member at this time is Diana Terranova (8212: Gacy House, Milf).
No doubt we'll see Piranhaconda slithering around Syfy sometime in the future.

The Asylum is up to its usual hijinks with the science fiction thriller Battle of Los Angeles. The Asylum is know for their instant classics like Transmorphers, Milf, 8213: Gacy House and many more. Their films are often seriously toned satires and their latest film looks unusually similar to Jonathan Liebesman's World Invasion: Battle La, which was originally titled Battle Los Angeles. Coincidentally, both films release very near the same date, with the Battle of Los Angeles releasing first (February 22nd). Fans of the bizarre can check out another still from The Asylum's latest below and viewers are highly encouraged to view all of the The Asylum's photos for this project, as there is a Michelle Rodriguez lookalike. More details inside.
The in-depth synopsis for Battle of Los Angeles (sarcasm, wink-wink, nudge, nudge):
"In February 1942 Us forces engaged an unidentified flying object above Los Angeles. Now almost 70 years later,...
