I had planned to be present throughout the 25th Mostra Tiradentes, even with confirmed hotel reservations. However, because of the omicron variant of Covid 19, with an increase in cases of people in hospitals, the exhibition, which completes its silver jubilee in 2022, has become, as in 2021, 100% online.

The first one I checked out was Following All Protocols, a short film produced, written, directed and performed by Fábio Leal. The script deals exactly with Covid 19 and the need for social isolation.
Chico has been in quarentene for ten months, having a long-distance relationship with a man from Bahia. The dialogue between the two breaks down, and Chico decides to devise strategies to have sex, which he has not done since the beginning of the pandemic. Following all the protocols indicated by national and international authorities, he calls a former hooker to have sex. From there, his paranoia only gets worse, with the right to psychiatric medication (started during the quarantine) and many fears. The interesting thing is that he freaks out when the guy takes off his mask, but he doesn't give a damn that he penetrated him without a condom.
I liked the movie, because it brought to reflection the neuras, paranoias and traumas that the need for social distance, use of masks and constant hand hygiene, correct, by the way, has caused people.
I know a lot of people who started taking anxiolytics and antidepressants during the pandemic, myself included, but who continue to follow all the protocols, only with the addition of daily pills to endure the meager social life.
