This short documentary felt more like a piece of propaganda from the government of the day than a serious look at the education system at that time.
It did look at different social classes and sexes and show how the new education system would help everyone, even if the class full of girls typing and learning to become secretaries felt too stereotypical and sexist.
A lot of scenes were badly written and acted and never felt real even though they were meant to feel like real life footage of what teachers and students were like during classes.
While informative and I'm sure useful for many parents who were worrying about their kids getting a good education and job after the war years. I would have preferred a more serious and honest look at the failures as well as successes of the school system at that time. A disappointing and quite dull film.
