“Delusional” Rhonj daughter, Gia Giudice has been smacked with the truth as fans alert her that she’s not a “housewife.” The twenty-three-year-old has popped up in several episodes of the hit Bravo reality series. Yet, she has not left the best impression on viewers in the last few seasons. So, what else are fans saying about Teresa Giudice’s mini-me? Keep reading for more details.
‘Delusional’ Gia Giudice Smacked With Truth, Not A ‘Housewife’
Gia Giudice was an adorable and sweet little girl when Rhonj first began. She even put her mother, Teresa Giudice in her place several times which viewers appreciated. Then, Teresa met and fell in love with Luis Ruelas and everything changed. Gia developed a very sharp tongue and did not think before she spoke. She was unkind to her uncle and aunt, Joe and Melissa Gorga plus she talked poorly about her mother’s co-stars.

Teresa Giudice and The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast might be on hiatus for who knows how long, but the Og is never forgotten.
Maybe Bravo is trying to butter up the naysayers who want Teresa fired.
The network posted a video reminding viewers why they initially fell in love with the mom of four.
Things have taken a dark turn in recent years and many Rhonj fans have blamed Teresa for the toxic state of the franchise, and they want her gone.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens after a long pause as Andy Cohen expressed a plan to take their time deciding about Season 15.
Meanwhile, the die-hard Trehuggers remain loyal to their queen and can’t see the show moving on without her.
In the meantime, a clip of Teresa’s funny misquotes over the years has fans calling her a “national treasure.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey has returned, which means the husbands are back too, and critics are over them.
Season 14 of Rhonj finally returned to Bravo airwaves, with the drama once again at an all-time high.
However, it’s not just the women bringing the fighting, drama and yelling matches.
Once again, the men are in full force, flexing their muscles at the worst possible time.
Jenn Fessler’s birthday was the event for the latest blow-up involving John Fuda and Paul “Paulie” Connell, with Joe Gorga, of course, in the mix.
The scene had The Real Housewives of New Jersey fans taking aim at the men, especially after things got so heated that Dolores Catania forced Paulie to leave with her to de-escalate the situation.

In times of dramatic change for the film-tv industry, Spanish auteur cinema is booming, goosed by multiple significant and high-quality titles, reaping prizes, critical praise and profile at international festivals.
Beyond the preeminent interest in established auteurs such as Pedro Almodóvar, Alejandro Amenábar, J.A. Bayona, Isabel Coixet and Rodrigo Sorogoyen, Spanish sales agents and distributors celebrate the increasingly strong presence of young local film auteurs on the international scene. The big question is, however, how this profile can translate into box office impact and substantial sales.
“We are living a very sweet moment in terms of the recognition of our cinema at international festivals, with ever more filmmakers who are creating dazzling works,” says Luis Renart, founder of Santa Cruz de Tenerife-based sales company Bendita Films.

Spanish mini-major Filmax has picked up international sales rights to “Teresa,” the new feature by Paula Ortiz, a fictional story turning on the prominent Spanish mystic and religious reformer Saint Teresa of Jesus.
“Teresa” marks the big screen adaptation of Spaniard playwright Juan Mayorga’s stage play ”La lengua en pedazos,” which narrates a meeting between Saint Teresa of Jesus – also known as Teresa de Ávila – and a character called The Inquisitor.
The feature is not a classic biopic, but rather a free adaptation of the text written by Mayorga – a winner of Spain’s National Prize for Dramatic Literature – which in turn, is based on “The Book of Life,” by Saint Teresa herself.
In the movie, Teresa patiently awaits the Inquisitor’s arrival and judgement. His visit and his words will determine her future. They will hold a religious and dialectical duel, where the question will be if she is set free,...

Salma Hayek gets a lot of attention for her stunning looks, but her oeuvre proves she's a versatile and formidable actress. From action to drama to comedy, Hayek takes on every role with consummate aplomb. Her talent has garnered Oscar, Golden Globe, and Emmy award nominations.
Hayek started her acting career in the novela "Un Nuevo Amanecer" in the late-1980s. She then appeared in television shows, including "Teresa," "Street Justice," and "Dream On." She made her big screen debut with 1993's "Mi Vida Loca," portraying Gata -- a small yet memorable role. Her feature film debut led to bigger and bigger parts, leading her to become one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood. While the 1990s saw her cultivate a reputation as a sex symbol, she's since lent her impressive acting chops to a wide range of films, such as experimental indie flicks, superhero blockbusters, and everything in between.

This year’s 25th anniversary of Robert Rodriguez’s “Desperado” means it’s also the 25th anniversary of Salma Hayek getting her breakthrough Hollywood role. Hayek was already a major star in Mexico in the early 1990s thanks to her role on the hugely popular telenovela “Teresa.” In an interview with Elle this week, the Oscar-nominated actress reflected on making the jump to Hollywood and the casting process that ensued for “Desperado.”
Hayek got on Rodriguez’s radar after he watched a 1992 interview between the actress and Univision talk show host Paul Rodriguez in which she expressed a desire to increase Latinx representation in Hollywood. Asked by the host why she would risk her career by heading to Hollywood, where it was rare for Latina actresses to be cast in high profile roles, Hayek responded, “I’m going to change it. The ongoing investigation into the Collins’ personal affairs turns up another unpleasant secret when a bloodstained golf club is found among a set hidden in an understairs cupboard. George Collins initially sticks to the version of events he’s previously told Di Bradfield, but, when confronted by evidence that he was visited by the missing Eddie Phillips,...

If you haven’t watched the season finale of Queen of the South yet, Stop Reading Now because there are massive spoilers ahead!
Things heated up on Queen of the South Season 1 Episode 13 as people died and one very important person turned up alive.
I’d always wondered if Guero could still be alive. I’ve watched enough TV to know that whenever we don’t see a body (and sometimes even when we do), the odds are good that the character isn’t as dead as we’ve been lead to believe.
Still, seeing Guero in that final scene was a heck of a twist.
But before we get to Guero’s reappearance and what it means, let’s review Teresa’s adventures.
It was good to see her take out Gato. The guy was a bastard, even Pote agreed he got what he deserved, and his death highlighted...

Who will survive after Queen of the South Season 1 Episode 12? I don’t know, but I’m willing to make some guesses.
Certainly, Brenda appears to be the person most likely to die. What were she and Teresa thinking? That they’d find the coordinates, walk in and say, Hey we found you. Now give us $500K, like it was some giant game of hide and go seek with a jackpot prize at the end?
It's okay to be scared. The way things have been going, you should be.

Queen of the South has been renewed.
The series, which will air its first season finale on September 8, has been garnering a steady audience of a little over 2 million viewers in live+7, half of which are in the coveted demo.
It's been cable's number one program throughout its run.
Queen of the South stars Alice Brage as Teresa Mendoza, Verónica Falcón as Camila Vargas, Justina Machado as Brenda Parra, Peter Gadiot as James Valdez, Hemky Madera as Pote Galvez and Gerardo Taracena as Cesar “Batman” Guemes.
Telemundo first adapted the book upon with the show is based, La Reina Del Sur, and it was a massive success.
The actress who plays Teresa Mendoza in the Telemundo version, Kate Del Castillo, found herself implicated in the El Chapo saga this past January, bringing some attention to the title before USA had a chance to bring its series to air.

Birdman finally bit the dust on Queen of the South Season 1 Episode 11, but the event wasn’t quite as satisfying as I’d expected.
Perhaps that’s because I had hoped Camila would have taken him out herself. Wouldn’t it have been great to see her pull out a gun when he walked into her club with that man’s teeth and shocked him by pulling the trigger?

But I suppose she has James as her hired gun for a reason. He makes sure the job gets done right, allows her to keep her hands clean, to a degree, and let’s her fly off to Mexico while the deed is being done.
As much as I expected Birdman to get his comeuppance, watching Camila attempt to make a deal with the Jimenez cartel took me by surprise.

Nothing worked out quite as planned on Queen of the South Season 1 Episode 10 as both Teresa and Camila went on two very different Mexican adventures.
Camila actually returned to Mexico when Epifanio swore her life was in danger after her botched hit on Birdman. After insisting she wasn’t coming back, her acquiescence was a bit of a surprise.

But not as unexpected as her tabletop romp with her estranged husband; the best part of which was the staff members' reactions in the kitchen below. Does that guy need those earplugs often?
Equally surprising was the post coital conversation between the couple afterwards…
Epifanio: Why is this the only place we are ever totally honest with one another?
Camila: I don’t know. May have something to do with the fact that we're naked.

Claws came out and teeth were pulled on Queen of the South Season 1 Episode 9 as Teresa made some hard choices and Camila’s comeback didn’t go quite as planned.

And when Leon wouldn’t leave Dallas quietly, Camila took her shot. It was very, very clever. Unfortunately, it didn’t work and I’m horribly disappointed.

After seven weeks of feeling as though Teresa was running in place, Queen of the South Season 1 Episode 8 was the installment I’d been waiting to see.

Camila made the situation clear.
They were going to rob a fellow dealer during a transaction in order to double their money. It wasn’t a plan spawned by greed as much as survival. Without that money, Camila’s business crumbles, sending her back to Mexico and Epifanio.
To her, that is a fate worse than death and for now, her fate and Teresa’s are linked.

Teresa’s future self told her that time wouldn’t be on her side for much longer on Queen of the South Season 1 Episode 7.

I felt almost as conflicted as Teresa as I watched Queen of the South Season 1 Episode 6, but where as Teresa struggled with who she was becoming, I was conflicted over where this show is headed.
We’ve heard about this war that’s on the horizon between Epifanio and Camila, but with the series’ sixth installment, I still felt as though that battle was on the periphery.

Yes, Epifanio was messing with Camila’s drug shipments, but I expected a bad ass like Camila to expect that and have a plan in place to handle it, and so far, that hasn’t been the case.
As strong as Camila once appeared, she’s floundering, as is my interest in this plot.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the characters, especially the three women, but it feels as though the storyline isn’t moving forward.

Although no shots were fired on Queen of the South Season 1 Episode 5, it was clear that the war has begun between Camila and Epifanio Vargas.
As quietly as it started, I still wonder if anyone will be left standing once it’s over.
Cesar may have run back and told Epifanio everything but Camila still managed to plant the seeds of doubt in his mind. Was her goal simply to allow that paranoia to take root or was she hoping to turn him into an ally? I’m really not sure.
Unfortunately for her, Epifanio is doing everything he can to cut off her drug supply in a high stakes game of one-upsmanship.
Will the Columbian side with Camila or Epifanio? Which one wields more power? At this moment I can’t tell but I’m curious to see how this plays out.

There were two main themes coursing through Queen of the South Season 1 Episode 4…
Strength can be found in the darkness, and a war is coming.
I’m not sure I’d say that Teresa is “blooming” like the Lily of the Valley in the dark, but she continues to put one foot in front of the other even as she’s surrounded by whores, drug dealers, and killers who wouldn't care if she bled out in front of them.

Whore or drug mule? Those were Teresa Mendoza’s choices in Queen of the South Season 1 Episode 2.
Even if she would have died after swallowing those drugs, I still couldn’t say she chose wrong.
As Adaline told Teresa to stick close and she’d turn out just like her, I figured that was a bad idea even before the woman dropped dead in front of her.
And that was a great scene. One minute she’s talking and the next you see the light go out of her eyes. No fanfare. No drama. One minute she’s alive and the next she’s gone.
More disturbing than the woman’s death was the way the men immediately sliced her open and began digging around in her gut for their drugs. She was nothing more to them than a living, breathing storage container, and now that she was dead she was no longer of use.

What did you think of the premiere of USA's latest series, Queen of the South?
While at the Atx Festsival in Austin, I had the chance to sit down with the cast of Queen of the South to talk about the premiere and what to expect as the series moves forward.
They were quite interested to share their thoughts on this fast paced and engrossing character-driven drama.
I was surprised to learn that most, if not all, of the cast had read the book by Arturo Pérez-Reverte and/or watched the Telemundo version of the show. That was how they first encountered the characters they have grown to love.
There have been some changes for the USA version of the series, but not when it comes to their love of the characters and the story. Alice Braga, who plays the central character Teresa Mendoza, shared her thoughts on her character.

One episode was provided prior to broadcast.
“I’ve been poor and I’ve been rich,” Teresa Mendoza, the eponymous queen of USA’s new drama Queen of the South, says in the opening shot of the show. As she does a line of coke, after emerging from her private helicopter and into her posh mansion, she admits pretty much what you expect she will post-Breaking Bad: “Rich is better.” It’s also deadlier (you probably expected that, too). Out of nowhere, a bullet breaks the window of her not-private-at-all private bathroom, she gets hit in the gut, and divulges – via voiceover – that a little backstory might be helpful.
As such, much of Queen of the South is Teresa’s (Alice Braga) pre-“Queenpin” days, wherein we see her snuggling up to a cute Texan drug smuggler, becoming gal pals with a wife of a cartel member, and...

Things start hot and heavy in “Queen of the South.” Bullets fly. People die. Drugs are snorted and sold. It’s clear USA wants us to know their new drama is a hard-edged show; a gritty show; a serious show. But is it a prestige drama, the accepted label for successful new entries, especially from networks new to the game? In short, no, “Queen of the South” is far from the best modern TV has to offer. But for all its amped up aesthetics, I’m not sure it even wants to be part of the club.
It certainly doesn’t want to be part of the boys’ club. Telling the story of a drug queenpin named Teresa Mendoza (Alice Braga), “Queen of the South” kicks off its story via flash-forward — a wannabe shocking moment that will be easy to gloss over down the road — before delving into how a...
