The short film is currently being considered as a feature-length project for writer/director Mark Cantu.
The films of director Michael Bay were studied by director Mark Cantu, in order to capture the kinetic energy of the film's warehouse climax.
Blink was named by Cantu's close friend, Nick Kramer. Kramer makes three appearances in the film: as the superhero, The Nudist; as one of the Street Thugs taking hostages; and lastly, as one of the SWAT members in the warehouse.
Filming of the final warehouse climax took place at the vacant Lone Star Brewery in San Antonio, TX.
Actor Jason Lee Boyson originally proposed doing a Clint Eastwood-esque voice for Dr. Mystico. However, during rehearsals, Cantu suggested a muddled Eastern European accent, which stuck throughout the shoot.
