As far as I know, this is the only Norwegian movie about the end of the world that exists. Well, at least the only one I've seen, or heard of.
Mennesker i Solen, or "People in the sun" is an enjoyable little thing. It has some cool characters, all the actors do a fine job. (This has some of the most prolific actors in Norway) They do good.
It has some funny moments. The dialogue is pretty good, not too Norwegian-movie like. And the environments are nice indeed, it is what we are known for here in Norway, after all! (haha, I hope it's actually filmed in Norway)
Kudos to the film makers for making something like this in Norway. Yes, we have extremely many uninteresting, boring movies, about boring stuff, so this is very refreshing. Shame it didn't do better at the box office.
You know, I don't have that much more I want to say.. It's a pretty good watch.

Deep protagonists getting drunk and celebrating mid-summer experience the turn of the end...or is it?
A fun b movie with some nice acting and a descent script. Just a fun yet serious film to enjoy.
Raging arguments and jealousy are all on display. The mature adults act like teenagers. Selfish and obsessed with themselves. They are joined by a mysterious women who sets a new tone. Then the pace amps up in the last twenty minutes with interesting and peculiar scenarios.
Not too much CGI which I like. All emphasis on acting. It's probably boring for people who like action movies but I enjoyed it. Well done and a refreshing change from the other over-budgeted "end-of-the-world" movies. A good 7/10.

I came upon this by accident and having worked and lived in Norway for a few years I was immediately intrigued although it is supposed to be set in Sweden). I found it funny, witty and with clever dialogue although the English translation at times wasn't quite what was said. The bluescreen didn't work at times especially with the older character. It really didn't look real. The dialogue was excellent an totally non-pc which was refreshing to hear. My wife still debates me on the actual ending and what it meant. Overall a good outing.

Are we so blind to environmental problems and a planet struggling, that we really not are able to take it in? This questions is asked in this Norwegian comedy about a Norwegian couple going on a budget holiday to the Swedish coast. There they meet a Danish cancer-ridden pensioner (Ghita Nørby), maybe out on her last holiday.
The six persons, all having their own problems, like one of the couples have a mute son, or marriage problems. Important problems. Problems like getting the wrong cabin, a dry sex-life, not able to have kids, the followings of having a mute kid (no wonder, you'll see...), hairy backs, and others. So no wonder when it starts to cloud up, and the end of the world as we know it appears, just as told in the bible.
The film is character driven, have a lot of funny dialog. The audience at the cinema had lots of good laughs, especially the rather-not-so-romantic-scenes, and it's just a pity that this film didn't succeed better at the box office.
The film is wonderfully filmed with some colorful yellow and red filters, giving the film a special warmth. And warm the day is, the final day of the World, when the sun seems not to wanna go down...
There's a message in this comedy. And this stays on after watching the film. I can't tell more about this without giving spoilers, but the film is well worth a watch.
When the world goes down, we really wouldn't understand what happened. We'll simple not see it coming, though we've read this over and over. Save the planet before it's too late!
