Though film is set in Bender, Transnistria, at 33 minute in the film is clearly seen name of restaurant written in Lithuanian language "Kinija" ("China"). The restaurant (now "Didzioji Kinija" aka "The great China") was in Vilnius, capital of Lithuania.
Main characters names Kolyma and Gagarin possibly are nicknames, taken from region Kolyma (located in the Russian Far East) and from Yuri Gagarin (soviet astronaut) surname.
