A remarkable series that captured me for its design and history. It could have been valued more than what it had. Clearly it was made for merchandise purposes but I think it was still a good creation.

Unfortunately for me, I ended up stopping with most cartoons by the time this show made it to America. If it had been on while I was a kid, I would have watched this show to death and went back for a second helping. Then the next day, do it all over again.
The only reason I started witching this is because I remembered seeing the title on Netflix years ago, googled it out of curiosity, saw that the reviews were great and checked it out. And I got hooked. This Italian cult classic created by the man behind Winx Club is like a mix of Indiana Jones and Pokemon, centering around lost mythical creatures being stored in amulets and being able to bond with humans. The monster designs are pretty cool, even though most of them are one-track minded and don't always have the variety you'd expect in Pokemon. HOWEVER, there is real strength in the character development. The four main characters are all cool on their own. They learn from both their strengths and their flaws, which makes for some good drama among the kid-friendly action sequences and historical context. I watched Martin Mystery as a kid, and that mystery vibe is there with a new set of genres as opposed to the sci-fi horror comedy MM was: fantasy / treasure hunt adventure / monster battler.
Sure, the American transition has a few minor mistakes, like dubbing issues and even an episode where the English titles and subtitles overlap the original Italian titles and subtitles, but these are minor instances that never get in the way of the storytelling. My only other concern is that Marc Thompson, who delivers a great Dante Vale, also voices Cherit and his voice sounds very annoying at times. I guess that's to be expected from the guy who voiced H'earring in Chaotic. ONE MORE THING: The rhythm and vibe of the theme song is an absolute jam... but the lyrics suck hard.
Despite minor flaws, I seriously recommend this for the whole family. This wholesome show has a lot of information, a very cool genre-balanced atmosphere, typically strong acting most of the time and strong thematic delivery. I really wish I grew up with this.

I didn't watch this series when it was on. I watched it and loved it. It is fun and exciting, but can get dark and even hard breaking. It can be a bit campy but that isn't that bad. All the main characters are great and have some excellent development. I encourage everyone to give this show a chance.
Not too long but it's solid. Cool characters and fights but honestly the atmosphere and mysteries is what made it great.

Outside of a cult following, Huntik Secrets and Seekers is a gem that few people know. Filled to the brim with enjoyable characters, fantastic monster designs, and great stakes, this show is far better than even the pokemon anime which it clearly takes some inspiration from. It is an utter shame this show only got two seasons, because it deserved far more, I wish it got its time in the limelight as it is delightful. Give it a watch if you haven't already, I thoroughly recommend. Alas it may be difficult due to Netflix taking it off its catalog, something I am quite displeased about. Still, track it down, it's worth ever second.
Huntik: Secrets and Seekers is definitely my favorite series from childhood, and even now, as an adult, it remains just as addictive! I remember how in 2015 I used to wake up early at 7am to catch an episode on Megamax before going to school. Each episode kept me in suspense, and the story, wrapped in mystery and action, was captivating enough that I never felt a moment of boredom.
The series has a memorable intro, and once you dive into the story and watch the episodes in their order, you get attached to the characters and live with them. The characters are incredibly well built and complex, and my favorites remain Dante and Grier. Plus, the Titan Tao, who I loved, was a memorable part of the series - I wish I have a ring like his amulet even to this day
Unfortunately, the three legendary titans didn't get all the attention they deserved, and I feel like a third season would be perfect. Even if the chances are minimal, a new season would definitely be spectacular, especially if it retains the magic of the first two. It's a shame that Huntik is such an underrated and little known series, because it deserves so much more recognition. It would undoubtedly outshine many of today's cartoons. For me, Huntik will always remain a hidden and priceless diamond.
