As a viewer, I found "The Monster" to be an awful cinematic experience. The acoustics were woefully inadequate and the auditory elements of the film proved to be a constant distraction. Despite the premise of the story being intriguing, the execution of the film was lackluster. The pacing of the narrative was plodding and I found myself becoming disengaged with the plot. Furthermore, the monster was never adequately fleshed out or explored, leaving me feeling unsatisfied and underwhelmed. The film had the potential to be a thought-provoking exploration of a closed community during a pandemic, but instead it fell flat. I also thought at some point, that the movie was a 'troll', due to random and bad acting. The ending proved to be particularly anticlimactic, lacking any sort of resolution or satisfying conclusion, it was a culmination of all the shortcomings of the movie. I would not recommend this film to any discerning cinephile, as it fails to live up to its potential and ultimately proves to be a forgettable.
