Produced and distributed in Japan along with Alien vs. Ninja (2010), Gokudô heiki (2011) and Deadball (2011) as the second wave of Nikkatsu's Sushi Typhoon series of J-sploitation cinema.

Director Yoshihiro Nishimura was influenced by "Night of the Living Dead" directed by George A. Romero.
Filming began on May 15, 2010 and was filmed in an abandoned warehouse in Choshi, Japan and other scenes involving hordes of zombies were filmed outside Mount Fuji.
"Resident Evil", "Night of the Living Dead", "Planet Terror", "Machete", "Bloodrayne" and "Kill Bill" were strong influences behind this film.
