Featured review
Silent Scandal is one of those films that start well, sag in the middle and collapse in the end.
Geneieve Nnaji plays the business tycoon who starts a romantic tryst with her chauffeur whom incidentally is having an affair with her daughter. One of those crazy love triangles that can only exist in movies.
It is obvious that both cast and crew put a lot of efforts in this movie. By Nollywood standards, the film tried to shine but still the film dragged with unnecessary family scenes which were downright boring. A story that could have been told under 2 hours was made into parts 1 and 2(Typical Nollywood).
Director T.K. Falope proved his directorial skills. It was just a pity that he had a weak script. Vivien Ejike who wrote the script could have put more strenght and the twist that was added in the film was downright ridiculous and made no sense with the earlier emotions displayed.
The star of the film was no doubt Majid Michel. That guy should be one of the greatest actors to hit Nollywwod and it shows here but even his thespian skills could not hold the film together. A pity. What might have been a great film turned out to be a mediocre romantic melodrama.
