"La usurpadora" is a classic soap opera story made several times in different countries, in Mexico it was made for the first time in 1981 with the title "El hogar que yo robé" achieving a resounding success, its second version achieved the same success under the most emblematic title "La usurpadora" and finally a third version was made with that same title in 2019, in this 2023 it comes to the cinema for the first time told in the form of a musical film without losing its soap opera charm, since the script contains the classic elements of this television genre. The performances are good, especially those of Susana Zabaleta and Cecilia Toussaint. The songs in the film are new versions of Mexican musical classics, some achieving poor results and others being very good. The cinematography is decent without standing out and the choreography turns out to be very simple. The final result is an interesting version of this well-known story.
