If you are an 12-16 year old boy you will love this. The movie starts with a good stream of jokes but then focuses to much on the story line. When I say focuses on the story is not good, it is because the plot is extremely predictable to the point where you know the end about 10 minutes into the movie.
There is some very well done cheerleading, but I can't see any female cheerleaders wanting to watch this movie. You start thinking 'get over the cheerleading and get back to the tits and arse I came to watch'.
On the plus side, the actors are putting in a good effort. Seth Cassell is great as Andy. I enjoy low brow humor and this is full of it (plenty of gay and masturbation jokes). And there are hot chicks showing heaps of tits and arse and getting it on with each other.
This movie is not for the wife or girlfriend, it is for sitting and watching with your mates while drinking beer. This is not a thinking mans movie.

When you think of The Asylum, you immediately think cheap, repetitive, dull, badly acted. However #1 Cheerleader Camp is not that bad things considering. It actually looks decent, has some good cheer-leading sequences, an upbeat soundtrack and some refreshingly likable turns from Charlene Tilton and Seth Cassell(in fact the acting generally is well above average). On the other hand, the story is incredibly predictable and the pacing is often too rushed. The writing is vulgar and contrived with not very much that out to me as funny, while the characters are stereotyped and bland.
All in all, not bad but not all that great either. 5/10 Bethany Cox

The German title does suggest something like that, which is a bit unfair to the movie. Even though it is a sex comedy, the German title makes it worse than it is. The movie in general is generic though and they might have thought this trick would lure in more people (I watched this as "double bill" with another one of the same production house).
The bromance between our lead character and another character might elevate this movie a little bit. If you are not annoyed by it that is. The jokes might feel homophobic to some or harmless and not much fun to others. There is still some heart buried somewhere in here and sometimes it shines through. You will also get a fair amount of nudity, though that should not be your main concern

#1 Cheerleader Camp (2010)
** 1/2 (out of 4)
The Asylum comes back with a teen sex comedy taking place at, you guessed it, a cheer-leading camp. Michael (Jay Gillespie), who everyone thinks is gay, and Andy (Seth Cassell), a real pervert, are two maintenance men at the camp when a group of girls get double crossed by a rival team. The two guy decide to help them out by hiring strippers to show the girls some real moves to win over the judges. Whenever a film starts off with big breasted, topless cheerleaders jumping on a trampoline then you know the thing can't be too bad. In fact, I'd probably go as far to say that this here is The Asylum's most professional looking film and while it's certainly stupid and silly, there are enough funny moments and trashy nudity to make it worth sitting through if you enjoy these type of teen sex comedies. The story itself is quite predictable as there's nothing going on here that's going to take anyone by surprise. The story follows just about every cliché you'd expect but that's not always a bad thing. The film doesn't try to be any sort of art film and instead it just tries to deliver raunchy jokes and nudity. The majority of the jokes are aimed at Andy who is on a "diet" that requires him to masturbate as many times a day as he can. This of course comes with looking in on girl's taking a shower, which just adds to the nudity level. The nudity is pretty much from the opening scene to the closing one so fans of that type of stuff (who doesn't love beautiful women naked?) should be happy. I thought the performances were better than what you'd normally see in a film like this and both Gillespie and Cassell are good enough together to help carry the film. Charlene Tilton plays herself, which was a little weird but her fans will probably enjoy seeing her. Erica Duke really steals the film with a very charming and cute performance as the good cheerleader. I thought she really did a nice job here and hopefully we'll eventually see her with some better material. #1 CHEERLEADER CAMP isn't going to win any major awards but it wasn't trying to. Fans of nudity and naughty little jokes should at least find it worth viewing once.

I was expecting a film much like fired up (which I quite liked) when I watched this but to my disappointment, it was a lot worse.
First off the storyline is not very good and the script made it even worse. While watching this film I felt like there were scenes missing (maybe there are) and that things were moving too fast (unless they where just trying to do random things almost all of the time). At times it also felt quite awkward, which could either be the script or the acting, although the acting wasn't too bad.
I barely laughed while watching this film and feel like I have wasted my time watching it. I wouldn't recommend it unless cheap laughs and random nudity is your thing, then give it a shot.

While watching #1 Cheerleader Camp, I came to the realization that I recognized all of the dialogue. I knew what was going to happen before anything did. I also noticed that I had been watching a horrible film for an hour. That's when it hit me- this movie is essentially a pornography devoid of any actual penetration. Everything flows the way a porn would, right up to the point where a penis would be shown.
Like one of Pavlov's mutts, when I hear shitty dialogue and see bad camera work, I know that sex is coming. This is the only reason I continued watching. Regardless, I did finish it. It provided a good laugh because I was watching it with a large group of guys.

"#1 Cheerleader Camp" is a stereotypical teenage comedy, but in my honest opinion, it seemed more like an excuse to show off fully or semi-naked women. It was actually reaching the point where it was becoming too much. When I watch a movie, I watch it to be entertained, and in this case to be entertained with laughs, not having to sit there and look at the female body being shown off in that manner.
The story told in the movie was simple and easy to follow. However, there weren't too many hilarious moments where you were left laughing hard. Those moments were sporadic at best. But in a way, the story actually kept me in the chair to see the end of the movie. And the story is, of course, very predictable. You know the ending well before you are at the actual end of the movie.
The characters in the movie were sort of generic and uninspiring. You have a guy with way too much teen hormones, who has to masturbate in almost every scene he is in. Sure it was funny at first, but it quickly became tedious and irritating. Then you have four exotic dancers (or strippers, if you will) who leave their job to go train for cheerleading? Yeah, very plausible. The main character is perhaps the one who is the most interesting of all characters. He choked at a gymnastic performance and have performance anxiety, so he will have to overcome this fear in order to help the cheerleading squad.
As for the actors and actresses, well they were actually doing a good job, and I would say all of them. Sure, it is not award winning material, but their performances were well enough. And it is no secret that the female cast was selected with the purpose to be shown off.
All in all, the movie is not too shabby, and I am sure that teenagers from 14 and up to reaching early adulthood will find this movie particularly nice. It appeals more to that audience with its humor and cheesy lines. But be warned, there is a lot of nudity in the movie. Just for a comedy of this type, I found it had too much focus on showing off women and nudity, so the comedy came second in line, and that was a shame.

I have never hated a movie, or rated it below 5 regardless of how bad it was, but this one breaks all the limits.
This is just another pointless teen comedy, it is too predictable and its end is the worst. The events are not ordered coherently and so many parts of the movie are pointless and were just put there to flash a pair of tits. I agree, flash some tits once throughout the movie, that would be fine. But having tits shoved in your face for 1/5 the duration of the movie makes me wonder why am I watching it instead of any regular pornographic movie, even there, the acting would be even better than this movie.
The story line is half baked and the acting was horrible. Usually in movies like this you'll find one thing that attracts you to it, be it a specific inspiring character, or an interesting or funny part of the movie. But this movie lacks any of that, the movie barely made me smile with its cheesy jokes. I really miss that hour and half of my life.

I couldn't give this movie more than zero hearts as it made my heart just stop from disgust and look away. I can't say anything more than just to mention it was a horrible movie. I actually don't know how I managed to see it all through. Can't imagine how desperate the actors were to take part in this nightmare. However I am sure that men would like this one in dark, long and lonely evenings.
I got interested because sometimes I got hooked up by cheer leading movies and as thought here was few good shots mainly it wasn't watch-able and I don't think that someone will watch it for these few great cheer spots.
I can't imagine what the actors were thinking by doing this movie - they were out of money and needed it badly or just was so desperate to be in one. Although it is placed in comedy genre I didn't find any place laugh worth. Maybe producer were trying to show all the stereotypes about cheer camps however this will only just scare everyone away. Sometimes I accept over doing as it shows colours more specific however this is not a great example.
I hope I won't have to watch something with less than 2 heart rating.

Stars: Seth Cassell.
Seth was in SEXPOT-a 3D cult hit from Theasylum.
In his second feature he is the best friend of a guy who looks a lot like Val Kilmer,When HE looked like Val Kilmer !
This comedy is pretty good and a lot of scenes are stolen by Charlene Tilton and her scenery chewing.
There are strippers, girl on girl scenarios, and a lot of funny spots.
This is classic NATIONAL LAMPOON feel to it and Naomi Selfman (script) and Mark Quod (director) delivered a funny 90 minutes. GIRLS ,a 5 GIRLS/GIRLS, a 10 Charlene Tilton, a 7

#1 Cheerleader is a lighthearted and campy teen comedy that follows the journey of a high school girl striving to become the top cheerleader at her school, navigating typical high school drama and challenges along the way. The film focuses on themes of ambition, friendship, rivalry, and personal growth, all wrapped in a colorful and energetic package.
Plot and Characters: The film centers around the main character, a high school cheerleader who dreams of securing the coveted position of #1 cheerleader. Along the way, she faces rivalries with other cheerleaders, challenges with her teammates, and various personal hurdles. While the story doesn't offer groundbreaking or unique plot points, it taps into the universal appeal of teenage aspirations, social dynamics, and the highs and lows of high school life.
The characters in #1 Cheerleader are somewhat stereotypical, but they serve their purpose in the story. The protagonist is the classic underdog with a passion for cheerleading, while the antagonist is a rival cheerleader who embodies the popular, somewhat mean-spirited persona. The supporting characters include her best friends, who provide moments of comic relief and emotional support, balancing the drama with humor.
Tone and Themes: The tone of the film is playful and fun, with plenty of over-the-top moments that embrace the ridiculousness of cheerleading and high school competitions. The themes of friendship, self-discovery, and standing up for oneself resonate throughout the story, though they aren't explored in particularly deep or novel ways. There is an emphasis on perseverance and working together as a team, both on and off the cheerleading mat.
Performance and Direction: The performances are mostly light and exaggerated, fitting the tone of a teen comedy. The lead actress brings a lot of enthusiasm to her role, making her character likable even if a bit predictable. The supporting cast adds flavor to the overall narrative, with a few standout moments of humor or heart.
In terms of direction, the film doesn't reinvent the genre but does a solid job of delivering on its premise. The pacing is quick, which helps keep the energy high, though there are moments where the film drags with predictable plot beats.
Final Thoughts: #1 Cheerleader is an enjoyable film for fans of teen comedies, offering enough humor, charm, and cheerleading action to keep the audience entertained. It's not a groundbreaking film by any means, but for its intended audience, it delivers what it promises-light-hearted fun and feel-good moments. If you're looking for a movie with substance or deep insights, this one may not be for you, but if you're in the mood for something breezy and entertaining, #1 Cheerleader fits the bill.
And don't forget the tits.
