Three talented shellfish experts from across the United States challenge Alex Guarnaschelli in two intense rounds of cooking. Hailing from Louisiana, Maine, and Hawaii, these chefs are betting their skills with shellfish can give them a chance at beating the fearsome Chef Alex. In round 1 the chefs seal their fate by choosing the ingredients they and Alex will cook with. Will their choices give them an advantage in the first round, or will Alex blow them all out of the water? One chef will be eliminated before going into round two, where they have the chance to win up to $15k, but only if they can defeat Chef Alex.

Joining the fight from Oklahoma, Georgia and Texas, these beef pros will take their shot at knocking Alex out of the top spot. The chefs will strategize what ingredients to use and test their abilities against Alex. Judges Michael Voltaggio and Cara Nicoletti will decided if these beef chefs can keep Alex on her toes or if she will walk all over them.

It's hot in the arena when Host Eric Adjepong welcomes three spice experts from across the US to attempt to take down Chef Alex. Chefs from Arizona, Washington DC, and California are each ready to show Alex and the judges their unique take on spice. Their strategy picking ingredients in round one could help them succeed, but will it be enough to get them a win in the second round. Judges Antonia Lofaso and Bricia Lopez will determine which chef can stand the heat and take the win.

The chefs from New York, California and New Jersey, each with their own unique take perfecting noodles, will have to strategize what type of pasta and ingredients they will cook with in round 1, all in hopes of knocking Chef Alex out of the competition. Judges Evan Funke and Jet Tila will determine whether these noodle experts have a chance of taking Alex down in her own arena.

The chefs must strategize what ingredients to use in round one in hopes of knocking Chef Alex out of the competition. In round two, the remaining chefs rely on their knowledge of chocolate work to vie for the top spot and the chance to win $10,000 as awarded by judges Valerie Gordon and Jonathan Grahm.
