Gc Novels , a light novel label published by Japanese publisher Micro Magazine, celebrates its 10th-anniversary this year, 2024. A special website was opened on May 20 to commemorate the anniversary. Gc Novels was launched by Micro Magazine in 2014 and has published a number of web-based novel series, including That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime by Fuse, Berserk of Gluttony by Ichika Isshiki She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man by Hirotsugu Ryusen, The Great Cleric by Broccoli Lion, and Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games Is Tough for Mobs by Yomu Mishima. The 13th and final volume of Yomu Mishima's isekai fantasy light novel series Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs released in Japan today on March 29, and its publisher Micro Magazine confirmed that the series has printed over three million copies in total. The novel was originally posted on the self-published novel website Shousetsuka ni Narou from October 2017 to October 2019, and its print edition was published through Micro Magazine's Gc Novels imprint from May 2018 to March 2024. To commemorate the completion of the series, the publisher's official YouTube channel streamed the special Pv below. 13th volume cover The first season of the TV anime adaptation of the novel aired for 12 episodes from April to June 2022. Japanese e-book store Book☆Walker Global unveiled its annual eBook download ranking on Dec 12, 2023, and the year 2023 saw a dominance in the isekai genre. The ranking is based on eBook downloads from Nov 1, 2022, to Oct 31, 2023, on the global store.

Topping the charts at number one is the light novel series Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation. The series experienced a surge in popularity following the release of its second season in Summer 2023. Notably, the Nanashi’s rom-com manga Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro stands out as the only manga series in the overall top ten.
