No pun intended - if you have seen the first one (and while it is anything but perfect), you know how it ended and what the movie suggested ... the beginning of this already suggests that the restrictions the first one imposed on the ... demonic force ... are being shattered ... almost to the same degree something else is being ... squashed (again no pun intended).
The effects are better in this one (was to be expected), but it seems a bit heavy on the "story" section ... in the sense that I don't think we care ... there must be a middle ground between the no story we got with the first one and the too many characters in this one.
This will conclude the story of one surviving character from the first one ... but you'll have to be patient for that to happen ... while also only (about) 80 minutes long it may feel a lot longer for some. Still if you want to support independent horror, you could do worse I reckon ....
