I'm still angry for wasting 2 hours of my life watching this religious crap.
It has nothing to do with basketball. It's incredibly boring. The actors and the director don't know what they're doing.
I guess it could be appreciated only by Christian fanatics who believe that organ donation it's wrong (instead of saving another life you should pray pray pray!)
This "thing" should be removed from any basketball movie list (that's how I found it) to save people from wasting their time.
Oh, I forgot..
keep on praying!

Where does one start to describe this movie? It takes place in a small northern Michigan town during the winter - basketball season. But as one reviewer said, it is NOT a basketball movie. It's a story about 4 buddies who come of age and where right versus wrong, good versus evil, etc. A little too predictable. Some of the camera work was very good. However, the story was weak. I felt it lacked continuity and believability. It just seemed too forced to try to get the storyline across in short periods of time.
I think the producer should have inquired from someone who was not associated with the film prior to it's release to be sure the unknowing public would understand it because i found it confusing at times. The acting was poor as well. It was obvious and stereo-typical. The fat kid who can't make the team is always the jokester drawing attention to himself. The quiet kid is the one who faces the dilemma, etc. etc. Kudos for moments of beautiful cinematography, but thumbs down to the project over all. It was just cheesy. Save two hours and watch Stand By Me or the Goonies.

I cant give this zero! We have the premise of a group of guys who play basketball together. One has a low life brother who has some unlikeable friends who are into guns, drugs and such. 1 friend ends up in a coma having been shot, suddenly 1 of these guys opens a Bible and starts to pray. Another friend develops a conscience and talks to the law. There is little in this about basketball, there is little about Christianity, add poor acting and a very weak script and its unclear what sort of film the writers/director was trying to put forward. All in all, this is the worst "christian" film I have sadly witnessed and also 2hours of life I cant get back!

This is the first time ever writing any kind of review, for anything, and I'll be very brief.
This film clearly shows that you can still have a great movie without the unnecessary foul language and other questionable material all too often pushed on us by most film makers.
The movie was excellent, with good humor, grit, suspense, and strong family values.
I would highly recommend this movie to anyone looking to enjoy a film that will help enrich their lives.

I was a bit skeptical about watching this movie, but i must say i was pleasantly surprised. It turned out to be a very touching movie.
Despite it being low-budget, the actors are all surprisingly believable and some of the performances are even Oscar-worthy if you ask me.
This movie will make you cry sad AND happy tears, and is a movie i believe anyone should be able to enjoy.
As for the religious part, it really doesn't matter if you are a Muslim,Christian or a non-believer, because the moral aspect of it applies to everyone.
Enjoy.

I did not expect "The Frontier Boys" to be a great film, but indeed I found it to be so. The actors pulled me into their characters right away. They were both believable and honest. It did not have the feel of a low budget film in any way. The only thing I would change is to make the snowmobile scene shorter. Well done film that deserves to be seen! While I knew going in that there were Christian performers in the film, they were very subtle yet effective in presenting faith as a source in times of need. I was especially impressed with Earthquake Kelly's performance. His performance was so genuine I cried! Yet all of the actors were believable and real.
