The graphics quality is very low quality, doesn't suit the film..
The story making Isn't strong at all..
Why add up a hero, heroin line up when there was no need of a heroine at all..
It was a waste of time, thought that this could be interesting but it did not fill my any expectations.
Need more improvement in story writing and graphics should be in a minimum standard.
The story goes round and round which really bored people, it could have been short and beautiful like venom movie,
There was no goosebumps in the movie, not a single thrill, When you want to people see and like your movie, you have to make a movie like that.
Though i like the way they approaching Hollywood style sci fi movies and trying it out, but still need a good story and minimum graphics.

*** Captain Movie Review****
Directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan...
Starring Aryan, Simran , Kavita Shetty in lead role....
Verdict of the Movie : Above Average... 2.5 / 5
Plot of The Movie:
A group of soldiers goes to a uncivilized place named Sector 42 , somewhere located in the north east border as per the instruction of the government to inspect & certify the place as a civilized place.
But the reality is different. There they come across a group of beasts / predators against whom they need to fight and accomplish the mission...
Positive Factors of the Movie:
1) Its not a hero centric movie... Every character had its relevance and they performed well too.
2) Avoidance of hero - heroine conventional love sequences
3) A different approach from Shakti Soundar Rajan is being adopted...At one end where such kind of science fiction , predator movies were seen a lot in Hollywood, an experimental approach in Kollywood should be applauded...
4) Some thrilling moments...
Negative Factors of the Movie
1) Was there a heroine required?? As although they avoided the conventional rom com situation still it would have been better without a heroine...
2) VFX was average...It was not convinceable
3) Although here the villian is a fiction, still it didn't gave the goosebumps as it was being portrayed...

There is nothing new in the story and screenplay of the movie. Still India's first alien based movie worth a watch. The appearance and body design of the alien in this movie is very strange. The movie has some unrealistic and illogical scenes. Very few people act in this movie and the performances of those who do are quite good. The length of this movie is very long, due to which the movie will be very boring. There are no entertaining scenes in this movie. There are no scenes to give goosebumps. The director is somewhat successful in his attempt to make India's first alien movie but the movie would have been better if the story and screenplay were better. There is no background score in the movie. Those who love alien movies can watch this first alien movie in India at least once. But for those who don't like Alien movies, this movie is nothing but a waste of time.

Maybe the concept and storytelling is on par, but the acting and *CGI* combined render the movie an absolute garbage! Don't waste your time, dear reader.
When you opt to make sci-fi movie like this, the GCI segment shall get the highest priority, and everything else comes second. We don't actually expect top-notch logic or drama of in such movies!
Unfortunately, the CGI of this movie looks cartoonist at best and poor of uncannily horrible proportions. It is an absolute waste of money and opportunity.
If you cannot finance it properly, don't make it - don't waste our valuable time and don't make a mockery of sci-fi movies!

One Predator is enough to destroy humans but here you will find more than 10 aliens/ Predators aka Monsters, all those looks so cheap like they are imported from China. The story is pathetic and screenplay is boring, nothing looks original. It seems trainee CGI and graphics students worked in the movie. Even the guns used in movie looks like toy. Its totally waste of time and money. Such movie needs thrilling elements which are completely missing in film. I feel even the shaktiman serial was better than the movie. All actors looked so kiddish and nothing worked for the movie. This movie should be avoided.

The problem with copying Hollywood blindly is not doing enough research tk present an acceptable theory for one's sci-fi fantasy creature flick. When you opt for making one without the finesse, required experience & plausible creativity, the end result will be terribly painful to sit through. Captain Vetri (Arya) considers his team as his family & they are introduced during a mission explaining the important stages in a combat to defeat the enemy. When they are sent on a mission to sector 42 to investigate the deaths of the previous team as well as eliminate the threat, if any, they return after losing a team member in a freak suicide. Unable to accept what happened & also prove their comrade isn't a traitor, disciplinary action is taken on them. An year later, the team gets another opportunity to go on a mission to sector 42. What really happened to them during their first mission & how will they tackle this new enemy forms rest of the story.
With a runtime less than 2 hours, the films drags itself with pointless filler songs to show the bonding between the soldiers & an unnecessary love story. 45mins are wasted on this which does nothing to establish any curiosity. The lack of suspense or to specifically say, inability to hold onto the suspense hits the film harder than the cheap vfx. Any gimmicks that is incorporated in jumping timelines doesn't pay off. The performance mostly is below average by everyone, nothing notable to stand out. The whole concept irrespective of fantasy elements come out as silly. It is not even at the level of those forgettable c grade Hollywood creature flicks which atleast throw in template characters to sell the tacky vfx driven scenes. Here, there is no attempt to present any entertaining character.
Utter waste of time.

We watched the film with the hope of being amazed but the visual effects, script, and acting, sadly, worked against the film
DELICIOUS
-Big up to the casting director for selecting the right faces for the right roles; we loved Vetri's team, their looks complemented each other. And the General (Adithya Menon) was tall, dark, and robust 😍
-The story was intriguingly told through the 4 stages of battle: Identify the enemy, fight the enemy, find out the enemy's weakness, and deceive the enemy. As these stages were constantly reiterated, they became good reference points to understand where the movie was headed
-Aishwarya Lekshmi, as always, was graceful. Though making a brief appearance, she left an unforgettable mark with the gentle touch she added
-So, minotaurs, in Greek mythology, represented the primal fear of the unknown in the mind of humans, and what Captain did so well was using minotaurs to point Vetri and his team to the greater enemy they were unaware of
BLAND
-The visual effects were the major downfall. The minotaurs, gunshot wounds, and other CGI elements appeared very fake to the extent that it was disengaging. Images looked grainy and lighting wasn't properly controlled in some scenes
-There was way too much music than necessary :(
-The cast couldn't accurately portray their emotions, e.g. When Vetri and his team were struck by the minotaurs, they immediately recovered from pain within a few minutes
-The screenplay lacked a lot of logic like how did Vetri quickly believed in the existence of minotaurs? If gunshots couldn't hurt minotaurs, why still use guns?
-Overall, Captain didn't invite us; we just watched without being transported into the story.

Firstly, after watching the trailer, I personally thought this was not going to be a such an interesting movie as in, it's just gonna be a bunch of VFX and a lack of a story. But, to my surprise, after watching the movie, it wasn't really that bad. In fact, it was way better than what I expected.
The VFX was really good except for the climax where it was like watching it in 144p. The plot line was above average. It was a different approach from Kollywood with a little bit of twist and turns. Last but not least, Arya's acting was good here as a Military Captain. Not to forget, even that creature "Minotaur" acted really well in the movie and had more scenes than the heroine ;).
After all, this is a movie you can watch if you are into these creature based genre and also small children will enjoy this definitely.

It's a daring attempt from director to show our audience something new, atleast we should appreciate his efforts,he has been experimenting with his films, all his past works are like this, zombie movie called miruthan, space movie called tik tik tik, and a movie with talking teddy bear, i really enjoy his works, kudos to Arya for trying something new every time,it's an Indian version of predator but this story has emotional side as well,it's predictable at some parts but it's not that worst as so called critics mentioned, if we don't encourage this kind of films there won't be anything new for us to watch in future, keeping everyone's opinion aside i recommend everyone to watch this atleast once in order to encourage the efforts made by the team.

Not sure why the movie is so underrated.
Has a good plot. Doesn't have anything to do with predator movie. Its a different story line and no aliens.
Has good strong storyline and some of the things they have shown in low budget is good except for the graphics.
Down side: Music was a real let down. Its just like some Tamil serial music.
Graphics are super bad might be bcz or the budget constraint.
Bit of heroics here and there that's literally unavoidable in any tamil movies
If one can overlook the graphics for the story it has it would be a decent movie. It is atleast a one time watch and better than some of the other sci fi movies like mirugan and tik tik tik.

Kudos to whole team! Such a nice attempt, far better than stupid mass masala movies and panparak movies. This is a sincere attempt to make a interesting movie. If we encourage these attempts then we will progress forward to acheive more and more.
Pros: Hero Arya and his team acted very well. Simran did her best like always. No unnecessary songs, no drama, straight to the point. Acting wise everyone did their part very well.
Cons: Heroine herself with plastic face and looks more uglier than aliens 👽, I don't know why Mani sir casted her in prestigious project like PS-1. She is the unlucky charm for this movie as well for kollywood. We pity her and her character in the movie. Waste of screentime.

First of all Kudos to entire unit who have worked on this Good attempt of Different - Sci-Fic movie.
This is not usual Army movie which describes the story of an Army Major or Soldiers. I am really glad that the First ever Alien related subject attempted by director Shakthi and his team. They have tried their level best to provide different cinematic experience to audience. VFX could have been better but you could not have asked more for a low budget film. All Actors did their part professionally well. Clean Screen play no extra bags carried to stretch the movie for the commercial 2 and half hours and also they have given lead for a Part 2 as well, hope they should continue taking new challenges in film making. Overall it was good show.
