Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz dated for years before their surprising recent break-up. Although the exact reason is unknown, an insider hints that their relationship shifted quickly after doing this project together.

The 2024 feature Blink Twice would end up affecting both Kravitz’s professional and personal life. It was a passion project Kravitz spent a considerable amount of time writing and directing before casting Tatum as the film’s lead. The pair previously worked together in 2017’s The Lego Batman Movie. But Blink Twice brought them together more intimately, as the two started dating not long after meeting for the project. Afterward, Tatum asserted that Blink Twice only brought them closer together.
“It was the thing that cemented us in a way. We started, kind of grew a little bit right before we started filming.

In an age where raunchy, ridiculous comedies are getting harder and harder to come by, stand-up comic and podcaster Stavros Halkias is willing to do whatever he has to become the next Will Ferrell, Danny McBride, or Chris Farley. For years, his crowd work was a staple of TikTok, endearing audiences with his crude, blunt sense of observational humor that extends to his involvement in the former podcast “Cum Town,” as well as his current show, “Stavvy’s World.” Now trying to both leverage and expand on this fan base he’s spent years cultivating, Halkias has placed another bet on himself by co-writing and starring in the indie screwball comedy “Let’s Start a Cult.”
The film was conceived alongside co-star Wes Haney and director Ben Kitnick, who brought the idea to Halkias, then later developed the script as well as a short version with him prior to the making of the feature.

One of Spain’s leading export powers, Mediterráneo, the film-tv international distribution arm of leading broadcast network Mediaset España, has hit Mipcom with one of its strongest slates in recent years.
This is led by “La Favorita 1922,” its first collaboration with Bambú Producciones, the Studiocanal-owned production house behind titles that have helped revolutionize Spanish scripted, such as “Grand Hotel,” “Velvet” and daily series “The Vow.”
Also brought to market are “Detective Romi” and “El Marqués” as Mediterráneo hit several growth axes in Spain and abroad: Modern melodramas with ultra-high production values (“La Favorita”), “lighter” procedurals and true-event-based crime stories. In the case of the latter, Mediterráneo is exploiting larger Spanish trends. According to The Wit, Spain is the number two country in Europe for fiction based on true events.
Mediterráneo also houses companies owned or part-owned by Mediaset España such as Telecinco Cinema, whose credits include “Pan’s Labyrinth” and “The Impossible,...

Have you ever listened to true stories so creepy they gave you chills long after the final word? For Thai radio listeners, Terror Tuesday has delivered just that for years, as regular folks call in to share uncanny tales from their own lives. Now this program inspired Netflix to produce an eight-part horror series—and strap in, because some of these terror tales will haunt your dreams.
Each episode of Terror Tuesday: Extreme adapts a different disturbing drama, said to be based on real radio submissions. Across its runtime, this anthology series runs the gamut from faintly freaky to full-on frightening. Some installments lean more towards tragic drama than outright scares. But other terrifying tales more than make up for any mild misses by delivering the disturbing goods. With its short episode format, the show moves at a brisk pace from one nightmare narrative to the next. And while not every tale sticks its landing,...

LL Cool J spent nearly three decades in pursuit of commercial success, which included a series of forgettable and ill-advised junctures where hip-hop’s first superstar forced himself into stylistic niches that never quite suited him. This makes his 14th studio album, The Force, feel like a breath of fresh air, driven by a clear sense of personal and artistic vision.
The album’s lack of interest in courting contemporary trends is a feature, not a flaw. But the songs aren’t too nostalgic either, and the ever-charismatic LL, per usual, doesn’t take his brand of boisterous smack talk too seriously. Songs like “Runnit Back” are filled with affirmations aimed at all walks of life, and the inclusion of three up-and-coming rappers on closer “The Vow,” recreating the youthful posse cut vibe of “Farmers Blvd. (Our Anthem),” suggests an openness to a younger generation that traditionalist projects of this ilk rarely ever court.

If you’re in the mood for horror, international is the way to go. Thailand has brought us a horror anthology series called Terror Tuesday Extreme.
The series gives us eight stories. Each story is based on stories that people in Thailand have told a radio show out there. They are on the supernatural side. After all, the idea of spirits and gods is an important part of culture.
These episodes are also sure to make you think. They don’t have the typical endings that you would expect, which makes them all the more interesting. Of course, some episodes are better than others. Here’s my ranking of the eight episodes of Terror Tuesday Extreme from worst to best.
Worst to best episodes of Terror Tuesday ExtremeEpisode 8 – “Viral Curse”
The last episode of the season is about a single mom who runs her own laundromat to make ends meet.

Terror Tuesday: Extreme combines the experience of call-in radio shows with Thailand’s unique brand of modern horror. This new, eight-episode anthology series is inspired by the popular EFM radio program, Terror Tuesday, where listeners share their own frightening (and supposedly true) tales. Viewers will be lured in by the “based on real events” angle, but the creative — and not to mention brutal — interpretations of the truth is what ultimately makes this series worth watching.
Traditional anthologies struggle to stay relevant and on the air these days; the term “anthology” now often refers to series like American Horror Story and Slasher rather than anything in the vein of The Twilight Zone and Tales from the Crypt. Thankfully for fans of self-contained horrors, Terror Tuesday: Extreme is more in step with those classic TV shows. In fact, the only thing linking these standalone stories is the titular radio program. And even...

Terror Tuesday: Extreme, created by Chayan Laoyodtrakool, makes us privy to various stories where characters, apart from dealing with the conflicts in their lives, experience certain supernatural phenomena that bring a complete shift in their perspectives. The fourth story of the anthology is titled The Vow, where it is revealed that a couple who seemed to be perfect on the outside were in reality not being truthful to each other. So, let’s find out what happened with Nat and Dao in The Vow and if they were able to overcome the challenges and reconcile in the end.
Spoiler Alert
How did Nat and Dao meet?
Nat and Dao studied architecture together, but they hadn’t gotten a chance to interact much. One fine day, Dao saw Nat floating face down in the swimming pool, and she immediately jumped into the water as she assumed that he was drowning. But Nat was just being dramatic,...

Hulu has to be pretty pleased with its list of new releases for June 2024. That’s because it’s about to be the summer of The Bear once again.
The Bear season 3 premieres all of its episodes on June 27 on Hulu. This FX dramedy has proven to be one of the most successful shows of its era. Jeremy Allen White stars as Carmy Berzatto, a world-famous chef who returns home to Chicago to help his floundering family restaurant after the death of his brother. Season 2 saw The Original Beef of Chicagoland crew transform the spot into fine dining establishment The Bear. It ruled. So will season 3 probably.
FX is responsible for the other major TV release on Hulu this month. Clipped premieres on June 4 and is about the scandalous real life story of Donald Sterling, the awful owner of the basketball team the Los Angeles Clippers. Another intriguing TV option...

No one could top the sensational ending to “The Jinx” — not even “The Jinx.” In 2015, the HBO true crime docuseries profiling New York real estate heir and alleged serial murderer Robert Durst shocked the world by catching Durst on a hot microphone making an apparent confession. “Killed them all, of course” was hardly a smoking gun from a legal point of view, but as television, those five words were the kind of stunning revelation that decades-old cold cases rarely provide. That Durst himself delivered the line in his distinctive, croaking rasp lent the whole saga the air of Greek tragedy, epitomizing the millionaire’s bizarre compulsion to unburden himself to filmmaker Andrew Jarecki in defiance of his own good luck.
“The Jinx: Part Two” concludes on a more anticlimactic note. Despite Durst’s 2021 conviction for the murder of his former friend Susan Berman and, in 2022, his death in prison, the...

When the first season of “The Jinx” concluded in 2015, it did so with a bang. That March, Robert Durst’s mumbled confession — “Killed them all, of course” — became the catchphrase of news broadcasts, late night shows and everyday conversations. It also sparked a trend in the larger television landscape. After years of being sidelined as a niche interest or confined to low-budget endeavors, true crime documentaries were at the forefront of pop culture.
“The Jinx” was followed by other buzzy, critically-acclaimed installments in the genre such as “Making a Murderer,” “Amanda Knox” and “The Keepers” on Netflix and “Mommy Dead and Dearest,” “I’ll Be Gone in the Dark” and “The Vow” on HBO. But the man who unintentionally sparked this boom doesn’t necessarily see it as a good thing.

Chenford fans, how are you all doing?
If The Rookie Season 6 Episode 6 wasn't anything else, it was utterly brutal for those viewers who love the fan-favorite 'ship as we watched a multi-season-long slow-burn relationship that appeared rock solid get pulled from beneath our feet in the blink of an eye.
The hour also presented us with another notorious Rookie villain who may unsurprisingly pop up again and have Bailey and Nolan reach an underwhelming decision about parenthood.
We also saw that rookies Celina and Thorsen still have much to learn.
On the topic of Celina, will we ever delve deeper into an actual storyline that addresses the series of errors she makes and the consequences of her actions hitting her full force?
It's hard to know if Celina's more recent and ongoing pattern of fumbling something up reflects her and something deeper that we've yet to explore or speaks to...

Offering a glimpse of its highly anticipated new series “Krank Berlin,” Beta Film has bowed the first trailer for the gritty and fast-paced medical drama, revealing a bold and modern take on the genre.
The trailer drops as Beta Film unveils its MipTV line-up.
The eight-part series follows a team of young doctors who are underpaid, poorly equipped, chronically overtired and beset with an increasingly callous healthcare system.
Created by British writer Samuel Jefferson, himself a former emergency-room doctor, “Krank Berlin” is set in the toughest and most overcrowded hospital in the German capital.
Haley Louise Jones (“Dear Child”) stars as Zanna Parker, the new head of the chaotic emergency room, who has her work cut out for her as she struggles with her own personal dilemmas. When she tries to implement new reform measures, she is met with resistance from the staff, particularly rebellious emergency doctor Ben, played by...

The week of the Super Bowl was a relatively light one for streaming in the United States — but that allowed a couple of shows to score solid positions in the top 10 despite relatively modest viewing times.
Netflix’s romance One Day, which premiered Feb. 8, was one of them — finishing fifth among original shows despite only gathering 296 million minutes of viewing in the U.S. for the week of Feb. 5-11. In the previous five weeks, the show in that slot had averaged 555 million minutes of watch time. Paramount+’s Halo also made its first appearance in the top 10, finishing fourth among originals with 354 million minutes as it opened its second season.
Only two shows, acquired stalwarts Young Sheldon (1.35 billion minutes on Netflix and Max) and Bluey (1.14 billion minutes on Disney+), eclipsed a billion minutes for the week. Mr. and Mrs. Smith moved into first place among originals with 765 million minutes of watch time.

Of all the characters introduced in the "Star Wars" original trilogy, it's hard to think of two who were, for a long time, done a greater disservice than Owen Lars and Beru Whitesun Lars. As the adoptive parents of Luke Skywalker, they're pivotal to the narrative; unfortunately, the stories that were being told post "Star Wars: Episode IV -- A New Hope" didn't require more than a brief drop-in on the Tatooine farmers.
Their best bet at extended screen time came during the prequel trilogy, but, even then, they're just humble desert folk eking out a living while the galaxy succumbs to the fascist tyranny of the Sith. So while it was nice to see a little more of the couple (portrayed in the prequels by Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse), knowing what we thought we knew of Obi-Wan Kenobi's exploits between the prequels and the Ot, it seemed like...

Netflix’s Griselda spent a second week as the top streaming title in the United States, according to Nielsen. It was one of three shows to snag more than a billion minutes of watch time for the week of Jan. 29-Feb. 4.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith also had a solid start for Amazon’s Prime Video, coming in just below the billion-minute mark. HBO’s True Detective also joined the rankings as it reached the midpoint of its fourth season.
Griselda, starring Sofia Vergara as the notorious drug lord, grabbed 1.73 billion minutes of viewing for the week, up about 9 percent from the previous seven days. The other two billion-minute shows were Young Sheldon (1.31 billion minutes on Netflix and Max) and Bluey (1.15 billion on Disney+).

Paramount’s Bob Marley: One Love easily maintained its lead over Sony’s troubled superhero pic Madame Web at the Thursday box office after opening the previous day at $14 million from 3,536 theaters, the top midweek opener ever for Valentine’s Day, the studio says. The honor previously belonged to 2012’s The Vow ($11.5 million). Better yet — and despite “meh” reviews — audiences seem to dig One Love and gave it an A CinemaScore.
The Bob Marley biopic earned another $3.9 million Thursday for a two-day domestic tally of $17.9 million. It is also a force overseas, including opening Wednesday to $2.3 million in the U.K., a record for a music biopic.
In North America, One Love is doing more than double the business of Madame Web, which grossed $6 million on Valentine’s Day after getting ravaged by critics and a C+ CinemaScore from audiences. It added $2.2 million Wednesday for a two-day total of $8.2 million.

Paramount Pictures’ music biopic Bob Marley: One Love has made a strong start at the North American box office, grossing $14m on Wednesday (February 14) to become, according to Paramount, the biggest mid-week Valentine’s Day opener ever.
The record was previously held by Sony’s romantic drama The Vow, which had an $11.5m North American opening in February 2012.
One Love opened in 3,536 domestic locations ahead of the Friday-to-Monday US Presidents’ Day holiday weekend.
The film also opens this week in 47 international markets, including Australia, Benelux, Brazil, France, Germany, Mexico, Scandinavia, Spain and the UK. Openings will follow in Italy...

Valentine's Day gave the box office the shot in the arm it sorely needed as both Paramount's "Bob Marley: One Love" and Sony's "Madame Web" opened in theaters. They will both have a nice, long initial stretch as they not only got the mid-week holiday opening, but they will benefit from this Monday's President's Day holiday as well. As far as the head-to-head battle goes? It's not going to be remotely close, as the Bob Marley biopic is crushing Sony's latest Marvel Comics adaptation in the early going.
"One Love" pulled in $14 million on Wednesday, which marks a new record for a mid-week Valentine's Day opening. While that's nowhere near the record "Deadpool" ($42.5 million) set on the holiday back in 2016, which fell on a Sunday that year, it's now a high watermark for a non-weekend V Day debut. The previous record holder was 2012's "The Vow" ($11.6 million). Given...

You don’t have to be clairvoyant to know that Madame Web has been receiving some pretty savage reviews, and it turns out that the box office is equally unimpressive. The Marvel movie opened in theaters today, but it’s already getting destroyed by Bob Marley: One Love, the biopic of the iconic reggae musician.
Bob Marley: One Love is looking to pull in $12 million today, which is the best showing for a Valentine’s Day midweek release since Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams’ The Vow in 2012. As for Madame Web, the film is lagging way behind with only $5-$5.5 million. The six-day projections aren’t much better, with Bob Marley: One Love looking at $30 million and Madame Web looking at $20 million.

Anonymous Content and Spain’s Morena Films, behind box office breakouts “Cell 211” and Champions, have named former Studiocanal executive Beatriz Campos as the managing director of their Spain-based film-tv production venture Anonymous Content España.
Campos will oversee the company’s day-to-day operations working closely with David Davoli, Anonymous Content’s president of international, and Morena Films CEO Pilar Benito, Anonymous Content and Morena Films announced Monday. Launched in May 2023, Anonymous Content España aims to develop and produce premium Spanish projects for a global market.
That is easily said, but several factors work in its favor and will be aided now by Campos’ appointment. As film and TV producers still battle a hugely competitive market and spiralling production costs, companies are reaching out for partners beyond national markets, a structure embodied in Anonymous Content España. Anonymous can also help Morena access U.S.-stars, which may allow their productions to stand out in the crowd.

One Christmas Warner Bros. release replaced another this week with “Wonka” taking over as #1 from “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” on all VOD charts. However, other late-year releases including “Migration,” “Wish,” and “The Marvels” aren’t having the same luck. While theatrical is the premium marketing tool for home viewing, we’re seeing that it doesn’t always translate to chart placement.
Universal’s “Migration” is weaker than past animated releases, currently #4 at Vudu (which tallies by revenue). Disney’s “Wish,” also in week two, placed only on two charts. In its third week, “The Marvels” only placed on Vudu and is #20 at Apple TV. “Ferrari” (Neon) and “The Color Purple” (Warner Bros.) are gone after one week. “The Boys in the Boat” (Amazon MGM) managed just one week on the charts.
“The Beekeeper” (Amazon MGM), which is still performing well in theaters (#3 this weekend), is available at home after 18 days.

But to the actors who played them in the original? Oscar nominations, pop careers, Hallmark Christmas movies, prestige streaming dramas, LGBT+ firsts, and much more.
Lindsay Lohan: Ex-Popstar Now in a Cosy Netflix Movie Niche
If ever a household-name actor were due a late-in-life career renaissance, it’s Lindsay Lohan. The crazy thing is that, due to an extremely early start in the entertainment world aged three, it’s not even that late in her life – there’s still plenty of time for...

A marketing group behind one of the most successful TikTok ad campaigns of all time is drawing scrutiny for its alleged ties to Nxivm, the so-called “sex cult” once led by Keith Raniere in upstate New York.
Geoffrey Goldberg and Evan Horowitz are the married co-founders of Movers+Shakers, a Brooklyn-based ad agency that has collaborated with brands like Netflix, Neutrogena, Tinder, and Arm + Hammer. They are perhaps best known for their work with makeup brand e.l.f., with whom they created hugely viral TikTok campaigns, such as 2019’s “Eyes Lip Face (e.

Buoyed with Paco Plaza’s “Sister Death” riding high in Netflix non-English film global rankings for a second week running, Los Angeles, Mexico City and Madrid-based El Estudio has named seasoned Spanish showrunner Tirso Calero, creator and script co-ordinator on “Servir y Proteger,” “Bandolera” and “L’Alqueria Blanca,” as TV contents director in Spain. He is based out of Madrid. His incorporation coincides with the creation of a TV division at El Estudio, which Calero will head up.
Taking effect from last week, the appointment makes large strategic sense. El Estudio founders and chiefs Enrique López Lavigne and Pablo Cruz are among the top and most cosmopolitan film producers in the Spanish-speaking world, Cruz ranking as Mexico’s best-known arthouse/crossover movie honcho and a driving force behind modern-day Mexican cinema when heading up Canana; and López Lavigne rating as one of Spain’s most innovative producers, seen most recently in...

Director Cecilia Peck is no stranger to competing docuseries on the same topic. Her last project, Seduced: Inside the Nxivm Cult, came on the heels of The Vow, HBO's own docuseries about the group and its disgraced leader Keith Raniere. At the time, there was much discussion about which project was better, with the general consensus being that Seduced, though less discussed because of its home on Starz and later release (it premiered the night of The Vow's Season 1 finale), offered a more focused look at the cult's insidious practices and a more reliable narrator in victim India Oxenberg.

Channing Tatum is one of the biggest heartthrobs in Hollywood. He's made us swoon by playing the hunky lead in romantic movies like "Dear John" and "The Vow" and also made us laugh with comedies like "21 Jump Street" and "Magic Mike." Still, we can't forget the movie that made us first fall for him: "Step Up," in which Tatum plays a hip-hop dancer named Tyler Gage opposite Jenna Dewan's Nora Clark. The pair's chemistry throughout the film is on fire, so it was no surprise they eventually took their romance off-screen.
Tatum and Dewan dated each other for three years before tying the knot in 2009. After seven years together, the stars welcomed their first child, a daughter named Everly Tatum, in 2013. However, in 2018, Tatum and Dewan announced their separation after nine years of marriage.
Since then, Dewan has moved on with fellow actor Steve Kazee, while Tatum has...

Spain’s TV fiction industry is exercising some caution after high-end Spanish-language series lifted off in 2018.
“We all wanted to launch so many projects, so many new platforms arrived that there was no time for analysis,” says Bambú co-founder Ramón Campos.
As streamers scale back on originals and sales cycles slow, the industry has time for larger re-calculation.
“We come from a spectacular moment, in terms of both quality and volume,” says Sonia Martínez, series editorial director at Buendía Estudios.
That groundbreaking moment, championed by series like “Money Heist” and “Elite,” propelled Spanish fiction production to historic heights of global popularity.
“There is a virtuous circle that began in 2018 and has been continuously regenerating. Spain’s talent base already interests international audiences,” says María Valenzuela, Movistar Plus Intl.’s general manager.
But the country’s TV production scene is still cycling through the fruits of the boom: the number of...
