Reno 911! co-creator/star Thomas Lennon is returning to primetime. Lennon is set to co-star opposite Sean Hayes in NBC’s untitled Sean Hayes/Victor Fresco multi-camera comedy pilot. Written by Fresco and directed by James Burrows, the comedy, from Universal TV and Hazy Mills, centers on Sean (Hayes), who must figure out how to parent his 14-year-old daughter, who just moved in, while navigating a temperamental new boss at work. Lennon will play the new boss, Max, who is blunt, gruff and seemingly fine with not being liked. Shortly after Reno 911! ended its six-season run on Comedy Central, Lennon and his partner, Reno 911! co-creator/co-star Robert Ben Garant inked a deal NBC that led to the 2010 comedy pilot The Strip. For the past couple of years, Lennon has been focused on features. He and Garant are writing Night at the Museum 3 and Rent A Ghost for 20th Century Fox and Baywatch for Paramount.

This NBC comedy pilot from the Reno 911! duo of Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant had a lot of die-hard fans. Lennon tweeted the news of the network's passing on the pilot tonight just like he broke the news of Comedy Central's cancelation of Reno on Twitter last summer. "Lots of very funny people in it. Ah well," he wrote about The Strip.

Life after "Twilight"? Yes, says Rachelle Lefevre.
The former "Twilight" vampire will play the lead, a young and competent doctor, in John Wells' CBS medical drama, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The ensemble drama follows the adventures of a mobile medical team that goes around the country, helping in medical crises.
Lefevre is best known to fans as the redheaded vampire Victoria from the first two "Twilight" films. She was replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard for the upcoming sequel "Eclipse."
Lefevre has worked with CBS before on its short-lived "Swingtown."
In other pilot casting news, NBC's "The Strip" has added Carrie Wiita and Andrea Savage. The comedy stars Tom Lennon as a former child star who becomes the owner of a bar that's similar to Hooters off the Las Vegas strip.

Now that it has lots of shelf space to fill at 10 p.m. (so long, Jay Leno!), NBC is looking to uber-producers like Jj Abrams, David E. Kelley and Jerry Bruckheimer to plug some serious holes in primetime this fall. And fans of the old must-see Frasier and Seinfeld format may have reason to rejoice: The network is finally re-investing in more multi-camera comedies like one starring Matthew Broderick. Here are the network's fall pilot orders, many of which are still being cast (decisions on which projects are ordered to series are typically made in the weeks leading up to NBC's presentation to advertisers,...

Lefevre is best known for her role as Victoria in the first two "Twilight" movies.
Meanwhile, Carrie Wiita ("Reno 911!"), repped by Bauman, Redanty & Shaul and Omnipop, and Andrea Savage ("Dinner for Schmucks") round out the cast of NBC's comedy pilot "The Strip."

Comedy Central’s Reno 911! is a hit, no doubt, but there are still plenty of couch potatoes who’ve never heard of the faux-reality cop series. Blame it on cable fees, or simple humorlessness. Thanks to NBC, however, those stuck in the boredom of channels 2-11 may soon taste the comic goodness of the show’s creators/co-stars,Ben Garant and Tom Lennon (pictured above). The writing duo, also responsible for the two Night at the Smithsonian films, are currently hard at work on a pilot for the network, titled The Strip, and New York’s Vulture has word on its casting.
Lennon himself will star as a former child star who opens a Hooters-like restaurant in a local strip mall in the Las Vegas area. Fellow Reno 911! castmate Cedric Yarbrough has joined on as a Norm-like regular at the eatery’s bar, while comedian Natasha Leggero will play a waitress.
