- A dual-perspective he-said she-said romantic comedy about two 20-somethings' chance meeting at an LA coffee shop, that takes us on a roller coaster ride as they attempt to find one another and find true love within the superficial LA singles scene.
Laura (Abby Wathen) is a down-on-her-luck actress whose love life is faring no better; Kevin (Michael Rady), an up-and-coming screenwriter trapped in a dead-end relationship with ditsy blonde Cyndy (Deja Kreuzberg). After a particular awful audition, Laura stops in a coffee shop and promptly spills her drink over Kevin. She apologizes profusely, but Kevin rushes out to go to a big pitch meeting. Laura's roommate and best friend, LA party girl Mindy (Meghan Markle), tries to help Laura with her love life, also to no avail. After a few days, both Kevin and Laura's thoughts drift towards each other...but in a city the size of Los Angeles, can they ever find the other again?
Laura and Kevin both independently decide to head back to the coffee shop. Laura waits for a few hrs, as Kevin gets delayed & then finally runs into his agent who asks to read his latest script. At this point Laura finally leaves the cafe and missing Kevin by a whisker. So, Laura and Kevin move to plan B. Laura sets up a page on an online dating website, recounting her chance meeting and giving instructions on how to get in touch with her. While Kevin sets up a fake audition, knowing that Laura is an actress. A bunch of weirdos respond to Laura's ad and Laura never shows up to the audition set up by Kevin.
Meanwhile Kevin's latest script is picked up by Terri Preston (Sean Young), meanwhile the casting director from Laura's latest audition asks her out to dinner. Laura end up going to same nightclub with their respective friends. At the night club, Kevin breaks up with Cyndy and she ends up crying in the bathroom, where Laura finds her and helps get all cleaned up. Meanwhile Mindy hooks up with Kevin's agent at the same nightclub. She ends up going to the VIP lounge where Kevin is sitting all alone, after breaking up with Cyndy (who is on her way home with Laura). Mindy totally falls for Kevin and gives him her number.
Laura goes on the dinner with her casting director, who is a total stuck up douche bag. Meanwhile Kevin and Mindy also go on a date and hit it off big time. That night Mindy brings Kevin home and wants to have sex with him, But Kevin refuses and wants to go home. Mindy convinces him to stay the night even if they don't have sex. The next morning Laura runs into Kevin in the bathroom and assumes that he is also one of Mindy's one night stands and tells him to go away. But then Mindy wakes up and tells Laura the truth and the 2 girls set off to find Kevin.
Laura is dejected and asks Mindy to take her to the Hollywood sign in LA. When Mindy comes back she finds Kevin waiting at the door for Laura, and she takes him to Laura and both kiss.
