After 6 years away from the music scene, it might be rigorous for most artists to get back up on stage and deliver quality art; clearly not in the case of THE Adele.
Effortlessly captivating and convincing, Adele is back to remind us what true music is all about. Although life wasn't so easy on her these past few years, with her divorce, being a single mother, and a conspicuous new look, she took it upon herself to tell her story and the truth behind the facade that the tabloids painted over the years. Oprah and Adele made a good team, one that took us on an inspiring and emotional ride. But the real star of the show was THE VOICE. Previewing some new songs like I Drink Wine, Hold On, Love is a Game from her upcoming album 30, Adele reminded us why she is the absolute star that she is today. And not to forget a nostalgic trip down adele lane hearing old songs live after years, that only seems to have gotten better over time.
All in all, the show was a HIT - A star-studded audience, powerful music, lyricism at its finest, an honest interview, and the humorous Adele, all combined with that one-in-a-billion voice, made for a special Sunday night. If you haven't watched it, I suggest you do. And you can also pre-order Adele's upcoming album 30 online! Surely seems like a classic!
