Snooki earned her spot on the show due in large part to showing up to her audition drunk. One producer who was there said, "Nicole showed up in a miniskirt, did cartwheels, and her application was smudged with her bronzer."
Season 5 of the show was green lit without the cast's knowledge. MTV negotiated with their agents while the cast was in Italy with no access to the outside world.
In season 4 when the cast goes to Italy, an infamous episode is when Snooki rear ended a police car. Those weren't just random police officers. They were the security for the cast.
The title of the show is "Jersey Shore," but only 4 of the 6 seasons took place on the actual Jersey Shore. If you include "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" then less than half of the seasons took place in Jersey.
The famous shore house jacuzzi was actually on top of the T-shirt shop that the cast worked on.
