Follows the very standard format of the show as shown in other countries.
The comedians are good but I was disappointed by the lack of variety. Seems to be the same few people over and over in different combinations. If you need to reuse the same person twice in a single short-run season then that's a bit dire. Not Canadian so I can't say if this is a lack of talent to choose from or just a lack of talent wanting to participate.
My only harsh criticism for the show would be the presenter. He's just not funny enough to be a host on a show like this. Compare to someone like Jimmy Carr on the UK version and this becomes even more apparent.

The good: In general the roasts are great, and K Trevor Wilson and Russell Peters are consistently hilarious. Lots of great jokes from the judges and the host as well.
The bad: I often shake my head at who they pick as the winner. Some battles could go either way but some are pretty one-sided and they pick the weak side. It's frustrating when the judges unanimously agree on the best joke of the night, especially when there are better jokes to choose from. It seems lazy and I wish they'd spread the spotlight around.

I expected ALOT more from this show. We get it. Sabrina Gilesse the judge likes women.. but they must mention it 14 times an episode like it's in her contract.
Anyways, to the show. 9-10 times I don't even get a chuckle from the battles.. they are so tame. Also, they are sooooooo outdated omg!! The jokes are like something you'd hear from a teenager who just discovered puberty. Even from the judges.. one being RUSSELL PETERS!!
This show is as boring as watching paint dry.. but paint drying is funnier. Seriously I cannot stress how lame the jokes are. It's NOTHING like the famous CC roasts. Save your time, skip this snoozefest.
