The show was fun to watch in lunch breaks. I agree with the other reviews in terms of authenticity. These should be 1hr episodes and more episodes.
Scott and Dale from Kyle's Extreme Automotive should have some insight of the process of the items they restore .
Nirvana comics and there deals they made.
I would watch a Season 1 Re-edit or Directors Cut.

Unlike the other shows like storage wars etc the people are not annoying and bitchie.
The comic haul in one episode was incredible.
I honestly don't care if it isn't real. Fun and easy watch. Hope there are other seasons
Some items found are very interesting and I'd want them myself. Love the weird and odd pop.

I'm madly in love with Bobby. I like Bobby & JD, Jen and Doug, not crazy about the others. The two brothers I find annoying and also the Lady with the older gentlemen . Like the two that deal with old cars except the bigger one could tone it down a bit. I binged watch the first season and am now watching the second.

Awesome show with some cool history. Love JD & Bobby and all the cast. Binge watched the entire first season. Ready for season 2. Biggest complaint is there wasn't enough episodes in season 1.

Everything you see in this show is following a script that seems to be written by a 6 year old, the acting from the sellers and the buyers is extremely bad it makes you flinch a couple of times and might make you sick to the point that you would just turn off your tv mid sentence, it is simply unwatchable.
Second part is the fact that the majority of the items are things you would find in a garbage bin so it's people trading, selling and buying garbage.
The fact that they could make a tv show out of this just proves that people would literally watch anything that you would put on tv no questions asked.

Highly amused by the interaction of the people on the show ... they are not actors, have actually met and sold things to Jen in Tazewell ... in fact you can see a bowling pen in one episode she likely got from us. In that part of the world there are still folks who do not lock their front door when they leave - so they might have left without locking up, but they probably have a clerk to assist them - especially since it was a film day.
Love Leona's combo accent - Asian twang.
Love - don't understand it - but love Jen's enthusiasm for the creepy stuff - think it is hilarious how her hubby respond to her.
Love the bonded connection between both Scott and Dale and between Garin and Richard.
Wouldn't mind it if the shows were a tad longer, but know it is setup to fit a niche.
All in all - loved watching it with the family, looking forward to the next season.

I love shows like this and was an avid fan of Storage Wars, this is similar but the only problem for me is they dont show how much they make a profit at the end and getting appraisals from experts, that was my favourite part from Storage Wars.... Oh, and the heckling while they were bidding.
Love some Doug and Jen from Pickers Paradise they are hilarious. Need more of Doug of Jen and their creepy room. Love the subtitles for Doug . Can't wait for next season.

So the people in here ... well they are interesting.
I like the honesty of some . While others drive a hard bargain. Which is okay it is their business.
Now what confuses me and bring the ratings down all the way is the editing. In a 30 minute episode there is over a minute of repeat material. And a lot of back and forth like commercial breaks are still a thing on a Netflix show.
Also it feels scripted a lot of the time.
Leaving the store without locking it. I get what is behind that but it is too much.
Interrupting sales by overbidding...very weird thing to do imo.
The couple that is in the car finding out about the deals. So how is there a camera crew arriving at the scene before you...
So somehow it likes to compete with other shows in the genre without being a show on its on.
And the weird thing is the camera crew is there well all the time... it does not make sense.
SO.
For example I would have loved to see one couple flip the goods they got in Japan.
It doesn't even have to be the same items. But just show something. Like, the vintage boys or the comic book store guys. How is there business a sustainable one.
Because now what we see is people paying money for stuff that most of us would pass on. The garage dudes making money pretending to barely make money on stuff.
AND SOME STUFF THAT IS REALLY SCRIPTED.
Well maybe it is editing.
Anyway to the swappers in the show. This rating has nothing to do with you.
IT is about the format they use and they still edit stuff like there are commercial breaks..

We loved this show. We have a local radio show called Swap Show that's been a thing as long as i can remember and yes, it's very popular, folks tune in to get the best deals and my hubby won't let me talk to him while it's on for fear i'll cause him to miss a great bargain. So regardless of the naysayers, this show felt very authentic to me, a little slice of rural America on Netflix. We enjoyed it immensely and will be tuning in again for Season 2!

Instantly watching an episode it was like watching American Picker mixed in with Counting Cars. Not excited. Time to nix this show and find another show to invest in. Bring back American Restoration on Netflix at least it's more exciting then this. Two thumbs down.
Pretty sure that's Scott from counting cars. Have missed him the he left the show. All around a great series on Netflix. Hope they keep making new episodes. So different from other shows on here.

I'm not convinced. They are either bad actors or normal folk hamming it up with a bad script.
A bad clone of American Pickers without the authenticity.

Pretty much rubbish collecting rubbish, a show about low life bogans. If you believe you understand English language, think twice cuz their English accent & vocab need a translator.

I've enjoyed several episodes. When I was appalled and disgusted by two of your pickers. Coming in what they thought was a fabulous buy on a little three month old baby calf. Which they then planned to raise, butcher and eat. The sight of these redneck cretins planning there big meal was revolting. I am not interested in this kind of butchery I wonder if PETA would be.
I have read the reviews here, and on one side and the other most make some good points! There does have to be a lot of staging to make a 'reality' show like this. But I get a real kick out of it, I watch it while I'm doing things in the kitchen. I like the personalities, the stuff they look for and encounter. And like a few others said: it's just pleasant, has some interesting things to see and it's suitable for family viewing. Yes I am someone who loves to look for treasures among trash. Maybe that's the personality that likes these types of shows. We're a throwaway society and that's a harmful societal trait.
Hoping for more!
Hoping for more!
The two(sports memorabilia) guys that are trying to be fair to people . The others in the show send it downhill . The old guy wearing a leather sporran and chains trying to look hip. The Japanese woman with continuous cleavage shots speaking in the most on the nose cowgirl accent. Most of all the low balling people just to brag how much profit you made off them is just as hard to watch as it was in American pickers.
